Chapter 28 - at the party

It's 8:05 and There's knocks on my bedroom door. "Yeah..?" Shawn opens the door. "Your boyfriend is here" he says with his dad eyes "Shawn he is not my boyfriend." I say. I put my earrings on, "how do I look?" I ask. "You look amazing..." He says smiling. "Thank you Shawn.. oh wait, didn't you say you were going to your parents tonight?" I ask. "I am. I was just about to go when your date came" he says.. "oh. Well ok than, have fun" I say kissing him on the cheek "bye, I'll see you tomorrow" I say going out of my room.

Wow. I look at Adam standing in the house looking so good... "Hey, are you ready?" He asks. Blushing I say, "yes, let's go"

We go out and I we get in the car. "Ok I have to ask you something." He says. "Ok.... what is it?" I ask

"Was that Shawn Mendes or did I imagine?" He looks super excited. Ok, to be fair Lucas and Shawn went to a different school and no one from my school really knew about me being friends with Shawn... I wanted to brag about him all the time but my mom told me not to, so he could keep his privacy. And I totally understand that so I never talked about him to anyone except Brittney. And when friends came over my mom told Shawn not to come over so it wouldn't be awkward for him.... in the end no one knows that he is one of my  Closest friends. So yeah that's why he looked really excited. Imagine going to a friends house.. or on a date.. and seeing a famous person opening the door for you at their house... I would totally faint. Just saying.

"Oh..... yeah don't freak out. It's nothing" I say. I can't deny he was there... he already saw him. "Shawn Mendes was at your house... he opened the door for me. What the fuck?" Adam looks super thrilled about seeing Shawn. Well, yeah Shawn is amazing and if this would've happened to me.... I would be 3 times more excited. I get it.

"Well, I know this might be weird to you... but he is my brother's friend... so that's why he was over" ok so this is basically true but not completely.... I didn't say he was my friend because I didn't want to make Adam jealous... imagine going on a date and you are at this guy's house and Ariana grande is standing there opening the door for you..... I would be like.... dead. And Jealous as fuck. But mostly dead.

"Holy shit. I can't believe you know Shawn Mendes..." Adam is freaking out. Yeah, I know him.... it's not like we are best friends since I was 5.....

"Ok... let's talk about a different subject... where are we going tonight?" I ask. "We're going to the best party in town." He says as he start driving..

A party? I thought this date would be more like a restaurant thing or a movie... but a party?

He turn on the radio and we listen to songs and it was fun... thankfully Shawn didn't show up on the radio. It would have been so embarrassing...

After 20 maybe 30 minutes we got to this really cool party. We walked in and we started to dance and have fun. "I'm going to buy us some drinks.." Adam says walking to the bar. I danced by myself until Adam came back and he came back with 4 shots. Wow... ok. I'm not used to drink.. I am drinking but.. I know I'm not going to take these shots and that's it.

I take 2 shots and so does he. and I said to myself that I won't drink anymore than that. I need to stay a little focused. So until the end of the night me and Adam didn't drink at all. We had so much fun dancing and we just had fun. At some point Adam got really close to me and we started kissing. It felt good, Kissing  him.. That was the first time since Shawn showed up that I had a fun night without thinking about him and just having fun..

So I posted this on Instergram story and I'm not kidding 5 minutes later...

"Looks like your having fun.." Shawn replied to my story.

What am I supposed to answer him?! "I actually am... why are you even awake?" I text him back on Instergram..

"Couldn't go to sleep." He text me. I just ignore him. I want to have fun at the party not to think about Shawn.
