Third Person's POV

"You sure? You know how absences can ruin our job." Nagtatakang tanong ni Atom kay Ivan nang magpaalam itong hindi muna papasok sa ospital. Tinawagan niya ang kaibigan upang tanungin kung bakit wala pa ito gayong nakauwi na ito galing sa Maynila.

"Baka mga one week lang naman pero sigurado ako. Nothing's more important right now. Tom— patients can have a set of doctors but Grace has only one."

Atom sighed. "Don't worry, I'm sure they'll understand. Nga pala, si Gio tawang tawa ko kanina. Umiiyak na ang gago! Hindi na naman daw niya makasama mag-ina niya ng kahit half-day lang. Ako umuwi muna ko to sleep."

Ivan hopped on his shirt and grabbed his car keys. "What about Air? We still have to talk." He apathetically asked making his way out of the building. "Aist." Bulalas niya nang aksidenteng mabitawan ang susi ng kotse at pinulot ito.

"That guy I don't know. He's too busy. Hindi pa umuuwi mula kahapon. By the way I have no idea since when he became business minded like our parents. He asked me why don't we put up something like a bar or a branch of Subaru or whatever." Atom laughed. "And you? Why do you sound like that? Nag-away ba kayo?"

Ivan hissed. "I was jealous."

Atom on the other line smirked. "Kanino?"

"His ex. Pambihirang tao yun umarte pa sa harap ng girlfriend ko. Kung hindi lang dahil kay Grace, malamang kung ano nang nagawa ko don. He's up for something for Grace, man."

"You won't get jealous kung maliit na bagay lang. Hey I know you can handle him alone but we can be a backup you know? Just in case your smooth and pinkish white hands gets scarred or callous-y because of his thick-skinned face. You know how much I like troubles." Atom chuckled and paused. "Is Grace okay?"

"She's not but, she's going strong. I'll go there again to check on her. I don't want her to Air me as much as I don't want myself to Cien her."

"Ey? You think she would cheat? Nah."

Ivan's forehead creased. "Tanga. I meant Air falling out of love."

"Ooh. Hindi ah. I believe in your 'love' for each other— wait am I being romantic? Ugh. Malabong mangyari yun bro."

"I know. Now pick: sunflowers or roses?"

"Sunflowers. You gave her a rose last time. The man who makes the moves is back, huh."

"I'd rather forget what happened last night. Maybe I just had to tell her what bothered me but that's it. Hindi kami magkakaayos kung walang mag-aayos. Tell Air I can be your investor."

"Yeah sure, if you want I can prepare a pre-contract so you can't change your mind. Ingat."

Ivan hung up.

"Uy." Pagsalubong ni Pia kay Ivan nang buksan ang pintuan. Ivan noticed her looking tired but still acts fine. Sweat all over her face while her eyes looked sleepy.

He half-smiled. "Everything alright?" He asked putting down the bag of groceries he bought without his grocery-shopping buddy who is also his girlfriend.
