Third Person's POV

Ivan and Gio are currently in a patient's room together with three senior doctors and five more co-residents including Syd and Janus.

"Mr. Martin, pakisundan po ng mga mata niyo ang daliri ko." Wika ni Dr. Cabrera sa pasyente.

Pagkatapos suriin ang pasyente ay lumabas na sila ng silid. "For now, we should observe his body's response to all the medications. I want one of you to observe him and be in charge of Mr. Tan. This would be a great opportunity for you guys."

"I volunteer, Doc." Gio said. His co-residents nodded because they think Gio is perfect for this. He plans to be a neurosurgeon and the patient's condition is Gio's specialty.

Janus, on his side smirked and tucked his hands in his pockets nonchalantly and waited for his Dad to speak again.

"Oh I almost forgot. Si Doctor Cabrera na nga pala ang na-assign sa kanya decided by the director." He's referring to Janus, his son. "And Syd, I mean Dra., you can assist him. Okay? I'll go ahead." The other doctors left at naiwan ang apat.

Gio's jaw clenched as he looked away. Janus turned to Ivan and Gio with his playful smile. "Sorry. But mukhang sakin pinagkakatiwala nina chief ang pasyente."

"Janus, stop it." Bulong sa kanya ni Syd.

Ivan hissed. "Oh come on. You know the ugly truth. Anak ka lang ni Dr. Cabrera kaya ikaw ang pinili. You couldn't even figure out a patient's condition well."

Janus gave him a stern look. Just a few nights ago, Janus was a big talk at the hospital because of an embarrassing moment. He even declared that the patient doesn't need an operation when she really needed one.

"Gio needed to HELP you." Kunwaring malungkot na dugtong ni Ivan.

"Ivan." Pagsaway sa kanya ni Gio.

"Halika na Janus." Pag-aya ni Syd bago pa sila mag-away. "Let's go."

Gusto pa mang sumagot ni Janus ay nagpahila na lamang siya kay Syd. Ever since they were little, they were always together. Janus has been liking her since then but he still has no idea that it is Gio's bestfriend that Syd likes.

"Patulan mo na kasi yung Janus na yon." Ivan rolled his eyes. "I mean, labanan. Hindi gawing chix."

"Kapag pinatulan ko siya, ako ang pag-iinitan dahil anak siya ni Doctor Cabrera. Ako ang mapapasama." Gio answered.

Naiiritang kinamot ni Ivan ang ulo niya. "Fuck that dirty game. Kung ganon din lang, for pete's sake Gio. Anak ka ng senador! Your dad's A SENATOR, Gio."

"Nice one." Gio slightly punched Ivan's arms while laughing.

Ivan's shoulders sagged down. "Bahala ka. Mauna na ko. Susunduin ko si Tita Nene."

"Tell her I said hi." Bilin ni Gio ngunit hindi na muling lumingon si Ivan at dire-diretso na sa paglalakad.

Habang naglalakad palapit sa kotse ay narinig niya ang boses ni Syd na tinatawag ang pangalan niya. Napangiwi siya at nagpanggap na lamang na walang naririnig habang binibilisan ang paglalakad.

Mabilis siyang nakarating sa terminal. Agad niyang nakita ang kanyang yaya na nakaupo sa upuan habang umiinom ng tubig. Napangiti siya bago lapitan ang matanda.
