Aaron and Roni have been talking for the past couple of days. They've become close friends, this still hasn't led Aaron to tell her his secret. It's not like he hasn't thought about it . He's thought about it a lot. He just doesn't want anyone to out it. He trust Veronica, but it's hard to tell such a big secret like that. They talk on FaceTime every night. Alex loves snooping on them and calling Roni Aaron's girlfriend. He wont leave them alone. He's even got Andrew making fun of him.
"Aaron has a girlfriend" Andrew chants through the house. Mariah wants to meet this girl. If he brings her home it will reveal his whole secret. He can bring her home once, but he can't lie after that. He sighs. His life wouldn't be this difficult. He thinks about their dead beat foster mom,who only comes to visit when she wants to party,or when the government does an inspection. He thinks about the day that the orphanage owner pulled him and his siblings in his private office.

That day was crazy for Aaron and his siblings. They had been in an orphanage for three years at that point. Kian was always beside them, until he got adopted a couple of weeks before they did. Well, they never really got adopted. They got a foster parent. Aaron kinda misses the orphanage. He had to watch out for brothers and sister there, but not as much as here. Here,he devotes his life to take care of them. The have to stay below the radar or else they will blow there cover. He doesn't need the school calling his "parents" or his foster mom to find out they don't exist. He hates that he has to be so strict, but he can't have anything happen.

He accepts the fact that this is life. He hops out the shower and gets dressed. He makes some microwave bacon and puts two pop tarts in each for Alex and himself. Mariah and Andrew only eat one. He wakes them up and goes on with his daily morning routine. This time,he's not dreading it as much. He's ready to see Veronica again and continue their story. Maybe he would hear more of hers or maybe she would hear more of his. Whatever happens they're both excited to see each other. Alex seems to be pretty excited to go to school too. Aaron thinks that he's been talking to some girl. He thinks that it might be a girl named Lauren. Roni introduces Lauren to him three days ago. They've been talking a lot. They're sort of like Aaron and Roni, except that they know the have feelings for each other. Aaron and Roni like each other but are completely oblivious to the fact that they do. Alex and Lauren clearly have some other intentions and not just a relationship.

Aaron gets off the bus off the bus and waits in the spot that he's been waiting for the past couple of days. He waits there for Roni
everyday. She wasn't there at her normal time today. He gets his phone out to text her.
Hey,where are you? I'm waiting for you at our usual spot
Sorry,I'll be there in fifteen mins, stall for me
He sighs. He doesn't mind covering for Roni,it's just that he sucks at lying. She has been pretty upset with her mom. This worries him. He strolls to class with Kian.
"You're not with Roni today, is everything ok between you two?" Kian pats Aaron's back as he asks this question.
"Yeah,she's just a little late"
"Just making sure their wasn't any relationship drama between you two" Aaron has given no hints of liking her,so how does everyone know? He doesn't understand how this happened. Rather than responding he rolls his eyes and walks in the classroom. Kian switches seats with a girl who will literally do anything for him. She has a huge crush on him and he barely even knows her name.

The teacher starts calling attendance. When it gets to Veronica's name Aaron tells the teacher that she's just late. Everyone looks back at him. He tries to cover his cheeks to hide the fact that he's blushing. He doesn't see the big deal. Girls cover for other girls all the time, what's wrong with him speaking up and covering for Roni. Kian looks over at him. At this moment he's glad he switched seats with that girl. He's right beside Aaron and can easily shoutout something to help cover Aaron, but the teacher moves on before he can say anything. The teacher clears his throat, focusing everyone's attention back on the front of the class room. Aaron takes a deep breath of relief. He can't believe that everyone looked at him. He could see the disappointment in some of the girls eyes. There had been at least ten girls who he overheard saying stuff like, "Why does he like her?" Or "She gets him and I don't!" He hates that people hate on Roni like that. What did she do to them. What her twin does, does not reflect on her.

The class goes by super slow for both Kian and Aaron. Kian wants to get home. His mom is trying to find his biological mom and they're getting closer and closer everyday. He wants to tell Aaron, but right definitely doesn't seem like the time. Aaron's worried about Veronica and about the stares. This rumor is going to spread like wildfire. More importantly,Aaron is worried about Veronica. Her mom seemed pretty mad when they were on the phone last night. He had never heard anything about her mom before today. He's not the one to judge people's mom,but just by what he heard last night she seemed pretty unpleasant. Roni had to hide that she was on FaceTime with him,but she didn't want him to hang up. They ended up falling asleep on FaceTime. When Aaron thinks about it,he realizes how many couple tendencies they have. Talking to each other everyday on the phone, eating lunch together, studying with each other. He would even go as far as saying that they kinda flirt with each other. He thinks that its time to tell her his secret.

Aaron pulls out his phone and texts Roni.
Are you coming to school?
He waits for a response. Five minutes later he gets a response. He sneaks his phone out of his back pocket.
Nope.My moms being weird again
Are you ok
Yeah, for now, she's leaving in like two hours
Ok,do you want to come over to my house at like four
Anything to get out of here
See you then
He sticks his phone in his back pocket
