Part 14: Inner Family Affairs

It's been a week since tryouts. Everyone has been busy with school and their sports, not to mention how much work Kian and Aaron had to do to get Ms. Troung's shop back up and running. Roni and Nessa have gotten grounded because of their mom. They honestly don't care. She's not around enough to even judge what they do, let alone ground them. They've been grounded enough to know their ways in and out of the system. They've already been hanging out with their friends and using their technology when the shouldn't be. They've rigged cameras and everything.

Tonight is the night that everyone in the Burriss family is bringing their significant others over. Mariah assigned everyone a job. Andrew is in charge of decorating, Mariah is on dessert duty, Aaron is on cooking duty, and Alex is dishes. Alex starts placing the silverware out. Mariah is making brownies. She gets a little trigger happy with the hand mixer, and turns it all the way up. Flour and cocoa powder goes everywhere, including Aaron and her clothes. She looks over at Aaron, who's holding back a smile, and she giggles. He sprays her with the nozzle on the sink. Alex hears the commotion and goes to see what it is. He gets separated in the process. He grabs flour and throws it at both Mariah and Aaron. Andrew joins.In the end, their all drenched, and dusty.

"Man, I actually liked this outfit" Alex says and tries to brush the flour off of him.

"I was gonna change anyway" Mariah shrugs. They all walk up stairs to change. Aaron finish's cooking the chicken and and making the gravy for the mashed potatoes. Mariah gets her brownies in on time and without getting flour everywhere. Alex sets the dishes on the table, almost breaking one. Andrew is super happy about the amount of glitter he got to use. He pulled out all of his craft stuff. They clean up and get ready for their guest.

Wendy installed a new alarm on the house. She tried to do it while the girls were at school, so she could catch them in the act, but Nessa comes home with a fever.

Nessa really doesn't have a fever. She just made her head feel warm. She had a feeling that something was happening. She came home to see. Ever since she saw the drugs in front of her own eyes, she doesn't trust her mom. She up to some low down business, and Nessa knows that she'll get to the bottom of it. She warms her forehead up again, has her mom check it, and he's upstairs to text Roni and tell her what's going on. She's gotten smarter over the years, and knows what her mom will do. As soon as she sends the messages and Roni sees them, she deletes them. Her sister gives her a reply. Their plan to rig the alarm is in action.

Tyler straightens his, sorta wrinkled shirt. He doesn't want to be here the whole night, but this time he was really forced too.

Mariah has been holding back vomit. She feels nauseous, but she doesn't know why. She makes sure the boys don't mention anything gross around her. In little triggers, and she just might blow.

"Ah, I got a paper cut!" Alex says and shows everyone his finger. Mariah looks at the bold and she fella the vomit come up. She runs to the bathroom and lets it all out. She feels ten times better when it's out. She cleans herself up and goes back out.

"What happened?" Aaron asks

"Oh, think something made me sick earlier. It's all good now" She reassures him. He puts the chicken on the table and opens the door because the doorbell just rang. It's the twins. He lets them in and they greet everyone.

The twins had to do some work to get here. They had to reset the alarm. They couldn't turn it off, because it gives a notification to the owner. They take some of what they at least paying attention to in science, and use it. They put water in a spray bottle and spray the alarm on the door. The dump baking soda and vinegar on top and it corrodes. They'll clean it up and make it look like it's still look like it works. They delete the footage from everywhere. Then they make sure there isn't any evidence of them doing anything. They don't know when their mom I'll slither into the house, so the clean up everything and sneak out to Aaron's house.
