Chapter Forty-nine

Billies POV.

I was sat in the front seats of the tour bus, we had no shows today but I had a signing I had to go too which would take up a good 5 hours however we didn't have to be their until 2pm

I was sat with my mum and finneas and his girlfriend who had flown to meet us.

We where currently just sat eating breakfast yogurt with fruit and seeds when I glanced up to see a very tired looking lily trudge down the corridor towards us in a vest top and some long pj bottoms.

"Morning beautiful." I smiled as finneas fake gagged.

She sat down next to me leaning into my side as I put my arm around her, she was still half asleep. I moved her hair from her face before kissing her forehead.

"Do you want something to eat?" I asked

She hesitated looking Around to make sure nobody was listening.

"Can I have something small?" She nearly whispered.

"Sure, what do you want?" I asked she simply shrugged. I got up taking my breakfast with me and walked out to the bag seats wear my bags where, lily trailing behind.

I handed her a orange and cocoa naked bar, she glared at it like it was poison before taking a bite.

"I love you." I reminded her rapping a arm around her, she simply groaned in response.

We arrived at the signing venue and i sighed before getting out the car, I loved meeting fans but I felt so run down and had no motivation I needed to sleep for a week just to get my strength back.

I walked hand in hand into the venue with lily, who looked as tired as I felt. She spent last night waking up few hours from a nightmare to the point she couldn't sleep anymore.

I noticed a guy as we walked in glaring at our hands, he was wearing the venues uniform which shocked me more.. I simple ignored him and gripped on tighter.

Once out back I had some people explain to me the plan and talk to me. We had an hour before the official signing started but we had things to figure out.

"Sorry you can't do that in here." A guy came up to us pointing at our interlocked hands.

"Do What?" Lily questioned confused

"We can't have gay hand holding in here it's not good for business." The guy said, disgust lacing his words.

"Excuse me? I can't hold my girlfriends hand? What the fuck" I yelled attracting the attention of my mother who came running over. I noticed lily shake my hand off, this was one of her fears. she hated confrontation.

"What's the matter?" She said glaring at all of us.

"I just asked them to stop holding hands. We can't have that sort of thing in here, it's bad for business."

I noticed lily turn away and I wondered if her anxiety was taking over. I placed my hand on her shoulder only to be shook off. She walked away from me.

"I don't understand? It's just hand holding, It's not like there making out infront of you? Would you say the same to a straight couple?" My mum scoffed just as annoyed as I was.

"Being straight is normal this isn't." He said gesturing to me.

"Is your manager around? You've upset my daughters girlfriend when she was doing nothing wrong."

"He's in a meeting."

"Well can you please ask him to come and find us, we aren't starting until I've spoken to him. Tell him it's urgent." My mother smiled as the man walked off to go find said manager.

"Just ignore him hunny I'll deal with it."

I didn't reply I walked off in the direction I saw lily heading in. I walked threw the hallways and into the bathroom. To my surprise she seemed to be reasonably calm when I found her in the bathroom.

"You ok?" I asked knowing the question was pointless.

"I'm fine." She lied.

"Lily.. thats not true. Talk to me" I pushed

"I just..Ughhh" she sighed throwing her head back in anger. "I just don't get why me holding my own girlfriends hand is such a big issue." She nearly yelled the words.

"It isn't, he clearly has a problem and just wanted to take it out on us."  I said placing my hands on her shoulder.

"I just want to love you wherever I go, I want to touch you, kiss you, hold your hand I just want to be yours wherever but people can't seem to keep there opinions to themselves." She sighed

I wrapped my arms around her.

Eventually we left the bathroom. Nearly straight away I noticed lily keeping her distance, I understood her reasons but I wish she wasn't made to feel that way.

It was time for me to go out and do my signing my mum had told me the issue had been dealt with.

I walked over to lily and attempted to wrap my arms around her only for her to push me away.

"I can't... not here.. I'm sorry.." I could tell the words hurt her to say.

I gave her a weak smile before sighing. "I'm going to go do my signing, I'll see you when I get back ok?" She offered a half smile before I left.

The signing dragged, all I wanted was to get out of this place so I could jump into Lilys arms. I loved meeting the fans but right now I wasn't in the right state of mind.

Finally we walked threw the doors of the tour bus, I slammed the door making lily jump as she dropped her bag. I practically tackled her into the back seat as I jumped into her arms kissing all over her face, she laughed as she smiled up at me.

"I missed you." I said as I kissed her nose.

"I like it when your clingy." She laughed as I wrapped my arms around her so tight she could hardly breath.
