This chapter will be short. It's just a filler before the next big events. Trust me it gets better. Thank's for reading!
Lila
The scent in the air changed. It from the sweet perfume to the gentle aroma of rain. He made one stride and took my hand. I whimpered but he quickly kissed my knuckles. A warm static feeling made the feeling go away. He wrapped his huge hands around mine and he closed his eyes. A burning feeling came over my hand. It was like a hot stove without the burn. After a minute he let go and BAM! I was fine. I turned my hand around but saw nothing.
"I'm magic." He said quietly. He seemed very nervous.
"My gosh. You are giving the big bad Alpha anxiety." Jane laughed. He sent a small growl, playfully of course.
"Hello Oliver." I love the way his name rolled off my tongue. He smiled very shyly.
"Hi." He squeaked. I had to bite my lip to stop from laughing. He seemed like he was a small boy or perhaps a teen around his crush.
"Oh my gosh!" Jane squealed. "He is usually super cocky and loud. But being around you made him a little pup!" Jane laughed a little. I let out a giggle. Then another growl. His chest puffed out and I saw some of his hair on his scalp stand straight. I laughed again. He suddenly picked my up and threw me over his shoulder. He did the same with Jane.
"Your lucky your my sister and mates soul sister." He grumbled to her. I reached up and smoothed some of his hair down that was standing. I felt a small purr. Me and Jane giggled. He walked us upstairs and took us to her room. "You need to go bed. It's late and we have stuff to do." I looked at a clock on the wall that we passed by. It's nearing 10 o'clock.
"Is it the bon fire?" Jane asked hopefully. Landon nodded and Jane celebrated. I will ask later. He tucked us in like toddlers and said goodnight. But he left quickly and came back. He had a very fluffy blanket. He covered me with it. I smelled strongly of him, well, of Oliver. I heard a very loud sigh from Jane.
"Goodnight cherry." He whispered before kissing my forehead. He went to Jane next and said goodnight to her. After he left I let the smile break across my face.
"Oh my gosh. I can hear your heart beat." Jane laughed. I didn't respond. I only smiled wider. I waited to hear her soft snores to get up. For the last month I haven't been able to sleep. I'm always wide awake but super tired, unable to sleep. I use make up to cover up the deep purple bags under my eyes.
I crept down the stairs and past the living room. I saw the twins passed out on the couch. Surely they had rooms. I didn't know if they did so I grabbed two blankets. I covered the up and took their shoes off. Since they were on separate couches I put their legs up, so they were laying down.
After that I went to the kitchen to get something to snack on. I got into the fridge and grabbed a soda because I couldn't find anything else. Then I jumped up on the counter and stared out the window. I heard the floor creak behind me. Then the faint scent of rain and perfume tickled my nose. Landon.
"Can't sleep?" I heard him ask. I turned my head and shook it no. He walked to where he was directly in front of me. His hand came to my face and his palm rested on my cheek. "When was the last time you slept?"
"A month maybe two." I whispered. I didn't wanna wake anyone up. He huffed and his breath fanned over my face. Ugh. Even his breath smells good.
"Well that's no good, huh?" He laughed silently.
"I guess not." I said awkwardly. He makes me too nervous for my own good.
"Well would you like something to help you go to sleep?" He removed his hand from my face.
"What are you going to drug me?" I joked.
"Something like that." He shrugged. I gulped. "Now hop on my back were going back upstairs." He turned around and I hoisted myself onto his back. I giggled as he carried me up the stairs. He acted like I weighed equal to a feather.
When we got to his room he turned the lights out. Then I felt the bed under me. He turned the lamp on and I squinted a little bit. He tucked me in again. His blankets made me feel sleepy. He turned the the lamp off again. I saw his silhouette in the moonlight. He sat in a chair in the corner. The outline of his bright white smile shone through the darkness.
"Once again, goodnight my darling Cherry." He whispered before I passed out.
