Lila
I didn't know what to do. I didn't even know if I was right. But looking at him made me think of the life I once had. My father. My mother.
"Luna?" A male nurse came in with paper work. "Is there anything specific that you need to be done with him?" I sucked up any tears that may have wanted to fall and turned towards him.
"Yes. I want security watching him at all times. If I find he has been left alone at all who ever is supposed to be guarding him will answer to me." I let him write down what I said.
"Anything else Luna?" He looked up to me.
"Actually yes there is one thing more thing you can do for me."

Once everything was taken care of I waited for the guards to show up. Two very burly men and a woman with gigantic muscles show up and I practically run out. I needed to find where he came from. I needed to confirm my own delusions. I found two lingering patrol men. I recognized them as Taylor and Jared.
"Where did you find the prisoner?" I asked them politely. Trying not to be suspicious is very hard work.
"In the west side of the woods. We couldn't find any trace scents." Taylor informed me.
"Were there any similar scents to his?" I asked.
"Nope. They had to of used a scent cover." Something clicked in my head but I didn't know what.
"Thank you." I went back into the hospital but immediately stopped. What am I supposed to do now? I started walking to where I knew Jane was housed. She had to be sober now. She was wise in the ways of life. But I didn't make it but a few more feet before I heard my name being called.
"Luna! Alpha is calling for you!" A nurse was jogging to reach me. "He requested that you come to his room immediately." She turned around again quickly and turned down a unknown hall. I sighed and back tracked to his room. I could tell once again he was very upset.
"So we lie to each other now?" He was pacing with his arms crossed.
"What are you talking about?" He went to the bedside table and picked up papers.
"You ordered blood work on that boy? What's the deal?" He threw the papers back on the table. I blanched. I had no response to his question. The worst part of this is...I can't lie.
"We need to go somewhere that's not here." I whispered.
"What is your problem?" He whispered harshly in my ear. I just grabbed his wrist as tightly as my body willed and tried to drag him from the room. But he stopped quickly to slip on shoes and then allowed me to continue. I looked out into the hall and saw no one of interest so I started to speed walk to the front entrance. It lead almost directly into the woods.
"Luna!" The male nurse I talked to earlier came chasing after us. I stopped and began to tap my foot impatiently. "I wanted to deliver these to you. I made sure it was the first thing done." He handed me a thick envelope and I could've kissed him. So I did. On the cheek.
"Thank you so much! Your the best!" By the time I finished the last syllable we were already around the corner. I could hear Landon grumbling but I sped up in return. We went past the nurse station and flew out the doors. Then I really did hit the ground running. Better than Smash Mouth. Landon followed at an even pace.
"What is going on?!" He yelled but I shushed him and ran until my lungs burned. We stopped and he doubled over, chest heaving. I almost forgot his fragile health at the moment.
"Are you alright?" I asked before I started my rant.
"Yes. Now what are we doing out here?!" I pulled his face down so we were eye to eye.
"I have been trying to figure this all out. I know that my theories might sound crazy but I have what proof I need here." I lifted the envelope to where it was between out eyes briefly. "This may all sound super crazy okay but you have to trust me."
"Of course I trust you. Your my mate." He tried to grab my hips but I yanked away with a groan.
"Now's not the time for this!" I took a huge step back.
"What have you been trying to tell me?" He is now very serious.
"So it began when I was first attacked and saw those wolves get murdered. Then my birthday disaster with the rogues and hunters. Still we didn't know much. Then the date night gone wrong. Jane got kidnapped instead of me. Well Jay- someone helped me get scent covering spray. The same spray was used when that boy was dropped off."
"Okay where does this all connect?"
"Let me finish talking!" He held his hands up in surrender. "Then when Jane was held captive they fed her alcohol. How did they know she was in recovery from it? Someone in there had to know. Then something was nagging at me so I had this work done." I opened and took the paper out.
"So what's the end of this?" He was growing impatient.
"There's only one person who set up the bad guy, who gave me scent spray used by whoever dropped off that boy, that boy also being from the house I saved Jane from." I stopped for a breath. "Only one person was acting suspicious and feeding into my mental problems. Then that boy looked so familiar it was like looking at a picture." I looked down to read the only thing I needed to know.
"Lila look out!" Landon tried to shield me from something but then a blind hot pain shot threw my skull. Like slow motion, the papers fluttered to the ground. White and black dots clouded my vision and I began to crash to the ground. Then the black dots grew to cover my vision completely.
