I stayed in his office while he went out to start cleaning. I also had him send in the head warriors. Thankfully I knew them by name. Six men, including Jayden, joined me again in the office.

"Hello Luna." A young wolf named Jacob said. Ironic right? He's very popular among the she-wolves.

"Hello." I smiled and they took their seats once again.

"So would you like us to go over what we talked about before you decided to take over?" Alvin, a less disciplined wolf, asked.

"I have a vague idea of what this meeting is about." I gave back just as much sass. But I'm a polite Luna like matter. "About the incident with the arrow am I correct?" I said oh so sweetly.

"Yes ma'mm." Responded my favorite warrior Anthony. He is blissfully aware of most things but is a great fighter id I've ever seen one.

"Alright so what things were we discussing about what to do?" I asked Jayden.

"So we were thinking about searching nearby shacks and cave systems. Things like that." The meeting hadn't been going to long I guess.

"Also we need to check out motels and foreclosed houses. They would stay in a place that we would expect us to look. So go big if we have to." Brandon, the quiet one, wrote down notes.

"So are there any suspects in question?" Jayden asked the group. Anthony spoke up.

"We should look at humans more so than the rogues. Rogues know how to cover their tracks. Humans are terrible at it because they can't smell like we can." We all nodded and Brandon wrote that down carefully.

"So why do you have choice in this?" Alvin asked. Jayden's head slowly turned to him. "I mean if it wasn't for you none of this stuff would've happened." Brandon sat down his pen.

"Who asked you again?" Lany, Brandon's sister, spoke up. She is the complete opposite of him.

"Well I just thought that since I'm part of this new found council that I could put in what I think." He pressed his lips into a fine line.

"I am fully aware that this is my fault." Everyone but Alvin's mouth dropped. "I know that if I hadn't been here all those people wouldn't have been killed 4 years ago. I know that the pack is in danger because of me. There's not a night that goes by that I don't think about it." Against my hopes my voice started to tremble. "But I am doing everything I can so I can right my wrongs."

"Why don't you just try leaving?" He mumbled to himself. Jayden had a look to kill on his face. Lany went to stand but Brandon grabbed her sleeve, making her sit back down.

"Let's just continue the meeting shall we?" There was a knock on the door and Owen came in with coffee for everyone.

The rest of the meeting went by rather roughly. Alvin loves to make comments of me being the downfall of the pack. Nice to know there's a balanced amount of people who like me and who hate me. More like one more so than the other... As I left the office Landon caught me arm.

"How was it?" He asked with a smile. I tried to smile but when I did all the tears I saved up almost came flooding out.

"It was great." I tried to walk past him but he noticed my trembling lip. My worst enemy.

"Lila what's wrong?" He grabbed me again and pulled me gently into his arms.

"Maybe I'm not fit to be Luna." I blurted out. A look of disbelief ran across his face.

"How could you say such a thing?" He pulled me to a small bench behind the stair well.

"I just feel so weak." I out my forehead in my hands. "Maybe if I weren't here then nobody would be hurt." I looked up at him and he had tears in his eyes.

"You aren't saying what I think your saying, are you?" It was his lips turn to tremble. Then I caught on.

"I'm not meaning I want to kill myself." He let out a harsh breath and I giggled bashfully. "I mean not here in the pack." I kissed his knuckles and then grasped his hand.

"Your aren't weak though. And if you weren't here when those things happened then you'd be de-" He didn't finish the sentence because he shuttered too hard.

"I'm just too weak." I let my smile fade and my head fall.

"What do you mean weak? You have taken so much and you still keep going. Whatever life throws at you, you take and remake into something good. No matter how much people shit on you, you come back and help them with a smile on your face. You can hold up a whole mountain with no complaints." I smiled at his words. "But that's also your flaw."

"What do you mean?" He grabbed my hands and looked me right in the eyes.

"You never ever talk about what is wrong with you. You are human. You feel things too. And I know the things people say hurt. And I know that you hurt. But you never say when your hurt, or if your hurt. And that hurts me." He expressed.

"I didn't mean to. I'm so sorry. I love you." He laughed at me.

"You don't do it intentionally, you silly girl. I just wish that you would trust me enough to tell me the things you hold inside." I frowned.

"I do trust you...it's just hard sometimes hard to tell you when everyone else tells me it doesn't matter. I know that you care but I just am still healing from those opinions. It's really hard to understand that someone actually cares for me you know?"

"No I don't." He shook his head. "I've grown up in a healthy environment with people who care about my head."

"Beth was a different kind of person. She didn't do emotions. But now that I know what is normal I know she was not the best st het job. I look back now and she basically made me raise myself. The only thing she provided was my phone and food. I just know she resented me."

After these years I haven't heard from Beth or seen her. I learned that she wasn't coming home when one day about a month ago there was a for sale sign in the front yard. Landon did some digging and found out that the deed was signed over to her boss because he was the only one she had information on. I was upset because that's the house I grew up in. But then I realized she abandoned me with people I knew for a month and I quickly got over it.

"But you've been with us for so long I thought you'd adjust to it and open up but that hasn't happened yet. It's frustrating for me. I don't want to feel like I have to threaten you for you to tell me things."

"I know and I'm sorry. I'm really trying. I really am." He gave a knowing smile.

"I know you are. And I'm so proud that you've came this far. You are an amazing young woman. You take all the time you need because I know that you will overcome your problems and flourish."

"I love you so much." I launched myself on him and bear hugged his neck.

"I love you too Cherry."
