Chapter 28 pt. 2

Lila's P.O.V

      After taking 10 minutes to out ourselves together Landon rushed us out the door before we could ask any questions. We decided to leave that whole thing alone because it seems to make Landon mad. Or embarrassed. I don't know which one. Maybe both.

      He pulled up to the local mall and we went inside. I guess a shopping trip? My birthday is tomorrow.

      "Okay so you both are going to pick out a dress and a swimsuit. And shoes if you don't have a pair to match. Preferably not sandals." We searched for the nearest Forever 21. It didn't take long for us to find something we like. We went for something spring and something we could put a suit under. I wanted o wear purple since it's my all time favorite color. But it looks terrible on me.

      My dress is a powder blue that is a little tight around the waist but it's just because there's a strip of lace there. The same lace is at the bottom of the dress. The sleeves are baggy and come back to a normal rightness around the wrist. Jane's is antique white with very light beige and powder blue horizontal and vertical stripes. They match but not so much we look like twins.

      Next was shoes. We didn't want to say we had shoes to match because we wanted new shoes. It didn't take long for us to find shoes either. I chose Vans close to the same color as my dress. Jane chose beige low top Converse. Then the hard part came. Landon was very strict on the swim suit part. I had to give him a lecture that it was my party and my day so we could wear whatever.

      I was very confident so I was fine with a two piece. For being pre-glow up I'm not bad looking. Sure I was barley a b cup and my butt was more like hamburger buns but I'm still pretty. But Jane was a different story. She is beautiful but she has problems with her dark hair. Which means she shaves her legs, arms, armpits, stomach and the side of her face almost everyday.

      So she chose a simple beige one piece with two straps on each side instead of one. I picked out a two piece powder blue number that had ruffles and a bow on the bra part. Landon almost lost his mind when he saw me put on the counter at Target. But then I looked at him in the eyes when I handed he salesman the money. I swear I saw steam coming out of his ears.

      "Your gonna be in so much trouble." Jane whispered in my ear. I laughed out loud. After that we stopped at Sunglasses hut to get vintage looking sunglasses. Our outfits were complete.

      "It's my birthday babe. Chill out." She smiled at me and winked. After that we stopped at Sunglasses hut to get vintage looking sunglasses. Our outfits were complete. Then we stopped at Chick-Fil-A for lunch. "Thanks for today. It was fun." Jane nodded with a fry hanging out of her mouth.

      "Anything for my favorite girl in the world. And Jane." She gasped and smacked him while he laughed.

      "I wish everyday can be like today." I said after they were done 'fighting'.

      "What you spending all my money?" He laughed.

      "Yep." Jane said as we high-fived. He rolled his eyes and picked up trash so we could leave. We went back to the pack house so we could get our things squared away. While we were out Landon had someone bring our things back home. I heard him grumbling about how I smell too much like Jayden. Give me a break. We walked into the house and two woman tried to take our suits and dresses so they could wash them.

      "I can do that. No worries." I told them.

      "We get paid to wash clothes. It's our job." One said politely. I blushed and said sorry.

      "It's no big deal. We'll have them to you tomorrow morning." They walked away happily chatting. I didn't know there were jobs here. I don't really know anything honestly. Landon said when I turn 16 he will explain everything to me. I hope time hurries up because I'm curious as heck.

      "You guys are going to bed early. Tomorrow is a big day." Delilah said coming to greet us.

      "It's only 6:30 mom." Jane whined. I looked at the clock on the wall. Time has gone by quick today.

      "I know. Bed by 9." We agreed reluctantly. Jayden let us go to bed whenever we felt like. Too bad we couldn't spend one more night. 9 o'clock came very fast. I was too excited to sleep though.

      "Stop walking around and come to bed." Landon said to me. I was pacing back and forth. He was tired from shopping . Shopping. What a sissy. I'm kidding. Slightly.

      "I don't want to go to sleep." I said to him. He threw back the coves and then stalked to me. Before I could run he threw me over his shoulder. He pur me in bed and used one arm to hold me down.

Please sleep love, Olivers voice called out in my head.
Okay. Love you, I replied.
Really? You'll do it for him but not me?, Landon's voice joined.
He's nicer than you, I teased.
Ha you suck Landon, Oliver taunted.
Shut up. Go to sleep., He muttered.
Okay. I love you both., I couldn't help but giggle.
Love you more, They said together. Man. I have a good life.
