Lila

I woke up blissfully unaware of everything around me. The sunlight wad coming through the widow and the blankets around me are warm. I pushed my hair out of my face and looked around for my mate. And there I saw him, sleeping, with his head on my exposed stomach.

I started running my fingers through his hair. I reached over to the side table and grabbed my phone. I opened the camera to look at the mark. There on the side of my neck is a beautiful purple flower. I notice something on his neck as well. I moved his head just a little and saw the same mark.

"My theory is that if your a human and you get marked it shows up on the wolf to." He said suddenly. "So you don't have to worry about marking me." He stretched his legs out and looked up at me.

"Good morning." I said happily.

"How are you?" He asked sitting up in all his half naked glory.

"I'm amazing." I sat up and kept the blanket around me because it's still freezing.

"Cold?" He said jokingly. I smacked his arm and tried to give him a mean look. Key word is tried. All he did was laugh at me again. He flopped down on his side of the bed and opened his arms. I laid on his chest which was radiating heat. I sighed in content.

"I am so happy." I propped my chin up on his collarbone. "I love you." He smiled and drew circles on my back.

"I love you more than I could ever describe." I put my head back down and dozed off again.

When I woke up again it was around 1 so I decided to get up and get ready for the day. I got out of bed carefully so I wouldn't wake Landon. I tip toed into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. My hair isn't too bad so I just dry shampoo it and put it in a ponytail. Surprisingly I was clean. My guess is that he took the liberty of cleaning me up after our little get together. I tried my best to sneak out but I was caught.

"What are you doing?" He said yawning.

"I'm hungry." I said meekly. He let a smirk come onto his face.

"I have something you can eat." I gasped and blushed.

"Your disgusting." I giggled trying to sneak out the door again. He threw the covers back and stood.

"Let me get ready real quick and we can go down together." I nodded and sat on the edge of the bed. A short 5 minutes later he cam out of the bathroom fresh as a daisy. Super speed I'm guessing.

"Can I cook? I haven't in a while and I miss it." I gave him a pouty look and of course he said yes. I had him sit in the dining room while I got something ready. I decided to make something from leftovers because lord knows there's going to be plenty. I grabbed a few things out of the fridge and started to make a meat and veggie stir fry. When I went to ask him if he wanted chicken or steak I heard him talking to someone.

"I just wanted to go see if she had any money I could borrow." Jane.

"Are you serious?" Landon hissed. "After what you did last night and the few days before you think she's just going to forget it and fork over money."

"Well yeah. She always gives me money when I need it. Someone dumped all of my juice and I need more."

"You mean your liquor?" She was silent. "Yeah I know about that. Your no longer allowed to go shopping unsupervised if that's what your going to spend it on."

"Are you kidding me?" She screamed. Oh boy. Here it goes. "Your acting like I have a problem."

"You do." He said calmly. "Look at your hands. Their shaking like there's and earthquake."

"Well maybe if that bitch didn't dump all my booze I would-" Something thudded on the table. His fist I'm assuming.

"Don't you dare blame this on her. She was helping you. Ever since you started sleeping around, you've been guzzling that stuff like there's no tomorrow." He scoffed.

"I did that because I wanted to. Do you know how popular I was? Everybody wanted me. Everyone forgot her and I was on top. I was winning. I had something to hold over her head." She laughed. "I got to be Luna of our school." I took a step back.

"Is that what this is about? Power? She was loyal to you. She was the reason you graduated. She even was willing to be the underdog so you could be Belle of the ball. And then when you blamed her for it she was willing to let you walk so you could be happy. You blame her for every bad thing that has ever happened to you. And yet she she takes care of you when your pickled."

"I never asked her to do any of that." I'm started to hear how selfish she sounds.

"She did that out of the kindness of her heart. And then the one night where she only has to worry about herself, you just had to ruin that too. You are just a selfish whore." My eye's widened and there was a gasp. I wanted to step in, to say something but that is not my argument. Well it is and it isn't. I tip toed to the sink so I could wash off the vegetables. I looked out the window and squinted my eyes. A person stood among the trees. I put the colander in my hands down.

I started to say something but something had struck the glass making it shatter. Glass cut my hands and face. I wanted to scream but chaos happened to quickly for that. Something came flying through the window and into my shoulder. Somebody started screaming. Was it me? Hot blood poured over my clothes before I collapsed. The door busted open and the splinters flying was the last thing I saw before darkness.
