Lila
"What's wrong, Landon?" I asked softly. He shook violently and I could tell he was about to shift. I panicked slightly not knowing what to do. He let out a defining roar that made me scream in fear. His eyes locked with mine and they softened immediately.
"Oh my Moon Goddess I am so sorry." His eyes welled up with tears. "I didn't mean to let my anger take over like that." He sunk down to the floor, ashamed. I took a shaky step too him. I didn't want to hurt his feelings. I know he didn't mean to shout at me.
"What set you off?" I asked in a small voice. I could barely hear myself but I knew he could.
"She's gotten in trouble for nightmare potions before and it almost killed someone. But we can't punish her because there wasn't enough evidence. I can feel that nightmare was her fault. I cant have you leaving me or d-" He contained a sob on the word dying. An unknown force made me jump into his arms. I practically tackled him.
"Its okay." I kissed his temple yet he was still upset.
"I promise I won't yell at you again. I feel so bad." I could feel he wanted to hug me but he was very cautious. I took his hands and wrapped them around me. He took a very needed deep breath.
"Don't freak out about this. It's okay." I reassured him. He laughed a very bitter laugh. He was angry at himself. It was easy to see. "Let's just go back to bed and sleep it off." I heaved myself off the ground and dragged him with me. He just rag dolled and I almost fell. I laughed about it and that made him smile. He willingly got off the floor and got into the bed. I curled up on his chest with a smile on my lips.
"I'm sorry about that little episode. I throw a tantrum sometimes." He said sheepishly. I just laughed and shook my head.

The sunlight woke me up. Well also the big ole freakin' heater under me. I swear he's gonna give me a heatstroke. I peeled the blankets off my sweaty skin. Thank goodness my hair isn't greasy because I'm not feeling a shower at the moment. Too lazy. I changed my clothes and felt better. When I came out of the bathroom Landon was awake and looking frantic.
"Oh there you are." He laid a hand on his chest and let our a harsh breath.
"What did you think I ran away?" I laughed and sat at the end of the bed, crossing my legs. He frowned playfully.
"I would die." He collapsed back on the pillows and closed his eyes. Then he stuck out his tongue to add onto his dramatics.
"Your so funny." I said dryly. He gave a sly smile and put his hands behind his head. This man....
"So what would you like to do today?" He asked still leaning back.
"I don't care." I traced the swirls on the sheet. He sighed and laughed. "What?"
"No matter how many times I have to deal with teens I still cant get used to the indecisiveness."
"Aren't you like 19?" I said sarcastically.
"Actually for your information I'm 21." My eyebrows raised higher than a kite.
"You don't look 21 like at all." His face looked so adolescent. Like he just went into senior year of high school. That's also a huge age gap. A whopping 8 years. Oh boy.
"Don't worry. I've stopped aging. I stopped a while ago actually. Ever since the pack kids decided to go to human school."
"Well that makes sense because that's when we met." I said matter of factually and he blushed at his obvious observation. He needs to sleep more. I swear it's messing with his head.
"It's not messing with my head. I get enough sleep. Don't worry your pretty little head about it." He poked my side and it made me giggle. Then he smirked and did it even more. It turned into a tickle fight. He won obviously. I'm not 220 pounds of pure muscle. "I do not weigh 220 pounds, thank you very much. I'm a solid 205." We both laughed at his terrible attempt at a joke.
"I guess we can go on a picnic or something." I decided on that because it was the first thing that came to mind. He perked up significantly.
"Can we please? It will be so fun! I can show you Oliver in his true form." So that's why he got excited.
"Yeah let's do it. We can get snacks from the pack house and a blanket. Isn't there a stream somewhere on the property?" I asked.
"There is! Its really wide and but its shallow so it's fun to walk in. Plus there is really pretty rocks along the sides. Its gonna be so much fun!" Man he really likes the woods. What am I talking about? I love the woods just as much. But I know that he's gonna say we can't stay out for long because of my concussion. Which isn't even really a concussion.
"A mild concussion is still a concussion." He grumbled at me. I just rolled my eyes at him and then rolled off the bed. I put shoes on and sat in a chair in the corner and waited for him to get ready. He pulled his shirt off and got into a bag under the bed. Man I have a good looking mate. "Remember I can see inside your head." He smiled over his shoulder. I felt my face turn red and I looked at the ceiling.
"Can you hurry up please. I'm not getting any younger." I crossed my arms and huffed. It was his turn to roll his eyes. I'm guessing he used mind link or whatever to have someone bring us a picnic basket, because as a man was walking by he put a small pack in the doorway. Then someone else walked by and dropped a thick fleece blanket next to it. "Must be nice to have your own delivery service." I said jokingly.
"It has it's perks." He was finally done and grabbed the stuff. "Lets go, darling."
