Lila

I went all the way to his office and knocked on the door. He called for me to cone in. He sat there with a sad look on his face. My eyebrows knitted together as I tried to think of things that could've gone wrong. He only had one meeting that ended about 5 minutes ago. But I don't know what it was about.

"Come here cherry." He motioned for me to come and sit on his lap. So I did.

"What's wrong?" I asked locking my hands behind his neck. His mood instantly changed to a smile

"Nothing." He laughed twirling a piece of my hair. "I just wanted to mess with you." I rolled my eyes and sat back so my back so my back was leaning on his desk.

"Was there something you needed to ask me? I have a garden to get back to." I crossed my arms with sass.

"Yes there was. But if your gonna be like that then I just won't tell you." He picked me up and sat me on the edge of the desk. He stood and turned to look out the window.

"Noo I wanna know. I'm sorry." I made a pouty face and he laughed.

"Don't use up your energy on trying to make me feel bad. I'm going to tell you don't worry." He turned back to me with a wide smile. But it was like he was hiding something.

"Just tell me already." I demanded. He held his hands up in defense.

"Okay, okay. Just promise me you won't freak out or something." I nodded my head eagerly. "I think your ready to become Luna." My heart stopped.

"But you said-" I started to say but he stopped me as soon as I started to argue.

"I know what I said."

Flashback

"I'm eighteen now. I'm ready." I tried to argue.

"Just because you of age doesn't mean your ready." Landon came back at me. "Your just not ready to step up yet. It could take a few months it could take a few years. Give it time Lila." I stomped my foot and he sighed. "That's exactly what I'm talking about. You need to learn how to control your emotions."

"I can control my emotions just fine." I half screamed. A vein popped out of his forehead.

"That just shows me you don't. We'll talk about this when you can have a conversation with out screaming or crying." He yelled back. I was taken back by his words but I knew he was right.

Fin.

"How I saw you handle Jane's situation this morning was a good sign your ready." He smiled at me again. "There's just one more thing I need you to do."

"Yeah sure." I crossed my legs and rested them on his chair.

"There is a fight. I was told right before I called you up here. I need you to go and handle it." My jaw dropped. A fight?

"Really? I mean I can try. But I don't know if I can do it." He rolled his eyes.

"If you can handle a drunk Jane then you can handle some pup's fighting." He literally picked me up and pushed me out of his office after telling me where it was. I knew the look of surprise wouldn't leave my face. I walked to the small park in the center of the buildings. There were two teen boys wrestling in the center of cheering kids, one with brown hair and the other blond. All around the same age.

"Excuse me. Can we calm down?" I said in a normal voice. They acknowledged me but continued to fight. I got a little angry. "Excuse me. We all need to calm down." I said a little louder. A kid turned and flipped me off. I felt my face grow red. "I said excuse me. We are all going to calm down right now or your all in trouble." I yelled sternly. I'm not gonna get disrespected by skinny teens who don't know how to properly fight. They stopped and heads turned to me.

"I'm sorry Luna." One of the boys on the ground said. They quickly pulled apart and stood with their heads hanging low. All of the teens heads were hanging low. Especially the one who flipped me off.

"What happened? What was so terrible it had to be handled with violence?" I looked at the boys expectantly. They both started to speak but I put one hand up and they shut their mouths again. "One at a time."

"He was calling my sister mean names. She has down syndrome and he was making fun of her. So I came to make sure he stopped. But then he started to say bad things about her again so I hit him. I'm really sorry Luna." The brown haired one said. I looked to the blond one.

"Do you have anything to say?" I asked the blond. He refused to look me in the eyes or respond. "Look at me when I talk to you." I said firmly but not meanly. He looked up with an embarrassed look on his face.

"No Luna." He mumbled. He looked like he was about to cry. I sent away all the kids except for the fighters and the ones who flipped me off.

"I'm going to let you think about what you've done. I expect you tell your parents what happened. If I find out different you'll be in bigger trouble. Tomorrow at 8 AM I expect the two of you to be in the Alpha and I's office. Any later will result in more punishment. Understand?" They nodded to me. Then I turned to the boy who flipped me off. "I'm just going to give you a warning. You need to learn to respect other people. Like these two I expect you to tell your parents."

"Yes Luna." He nodded as well.

"Now run along. 8 AM sharp. Don't be late." The three ran to different building so I'm assuming the ones they live in. I turned to walk back to the main house when I saw Landon approaching. He one again was smiling.

"I wish you wouldn't have made the time so early. I'd like to sleep in tomorrow." He grabbed my hand.

"It's because teens don't like getting up early. It's another form of punishment." I grinned at him and he just laughed.

"So I guess we have to get planning." He confirmed what I was hoping for.

"I get to be Luna?" I said excitedly.

"Yes ma'mm." I squealed and jumped into his arms. "I already called a meeting in the main house with the party committee. We like to make these things move quickly so tomorrow we start planning. The ceremony needs to be on the night of a full moon so that will be in 4 days. These next few days will be busy."

"I'm so ready. I can't wait for this." I pulled back and looked him in the eyes.

"You know what has to happen that night, right?" He said rather quietly. I blushed.

"Yes. I do. I've been ready for that." I giggled while he rolled his eyes. I'm so ready for this wild ride.
