Chapter 19 (Edited)

Landon

It's been the most stressful week of my life. I have three wolves injured and one one life support. His wolf is so damaged he can barely heal himself. Everyone is panicked about the children leaving the land so I had to make them stay here for their education. Honestly they were safer at the human school because rogues never attack big groups of humans. But the mothers were scared out of their minds.

I also have not seen Lila since she saw me kill the rogue. She was so scared of me. The look of terror in her eyes was enough to make me cry. I did that night. I stayed in my office and only left for a shower. I knew that she was trying to give me time to calm. My mom told me what she told her. I was so angry. She was just barely off territory and she almost got killed. Oliver couldn't find her trail in the water. Then I heard the one thing I hope I would never have to hear. Her scream.

When I heard it my hair stood up. Just thinking of it made me shiver. I looked back to my paper work that was supposed to be done two days ago. I yawned and set it aside once again. I haven't slept in four days. Maybe I can just let my eyes rest for just a bit and I'll be in good shape. I can finally finish my work. My eyes fell shut and I finally dozed.

I came to half way and was too groggy to realize what was going on. A small body curled up on my lap and it's head was in my neck. It smelled really good. Lila. This must be one of those realistic dreams. She doesn't want to see me, I'm sure of it. 

"I've missed you so much." Her gentle voice was like music to my ears. I wish it was real.

"I missed you too. I think I would've insane having to hug myself one more time." I let my arms fall limply around her. Man this felt like it was happening.

"It's been too long of a week. I wish this wasn't a dream. I could use some mate magic to help as stress relief." I laughed coldly. 

"What do you mean? I'm here." She pinched my arm and I jolted. She's real! I stood up and held her tightly to me. 

"Oh my Moon Goddess! Your here! That means you forgive me?" I looked to her and she nodded. I yelled out a long yes and danced around the room. "I never want to spend that long away from you again. You mean so much to me! I'm so sorry!" I held her so tight. She giggled and tried to hug me the best she could. 

"The whole house is gonna fall apart if you keep screaming like that." She laughed again I wished that I could hear it for the rest of my life. 

"I don't care! I own it anyways! They can know I'm happy my beautiful, wonderful, amazing mate is with me and that I love you! Let them know!" I hugged her and set her down. 

"You know I love you." She smiled that beautiful smile. Then I got sad and remember why she was away for so long. I dropped down to my knees and let my head hang low.

"I'm so sorry I put you through that. I was just trying to protect you. I couldn't control myself I just was so angry and-and I heard you scream-" I looked her in the eyes and my bottom lip started to tremble. Her eyes widened and she cupped my face in her little hands. She held in a laugh. "Are you going to laugh at me?"

"I just think it's a little funny. The big and bad Alpha crying in on the floor." She got down to my level and hugged me. "It's okay. I understand. Things got explained to me and I get why it happened. It's still freaky though." 

"I just feel terrible. I got its blood on you." I cringed at the memory. 

"Yeah that was a little unnecessary. But I got over that. I've learned to deal with certain things. I'm a strong girl." She tried to flex but it did not work out very well. It was my turn to laugh. 

"Nah your only strong up here." I tapped her forehead. She gasped and smacked my hand. We both laughed and I quickly hugged her again. I'm scared to let her go because I don't want to lose her again. I cant't lose her. I can't.

"I can probably bench press you if I wanted to." She crossed her arms. 

"Wanna bet?" I flopped on her and She screamed. I couldn't help but laugh as she squirmed and laughed too. Eventually I got up and let her know she's a loser. Kidding. Kind of. 

"Your so mean to me." She stood and playfully kicked me. "Come on your mom made lunch. You look like you need a sandwich. And a toothbrush." Before I could say or do anything she was running down the hall giggling. God I missed her.

I'm sorry for making this such a a shot chapter but it was only a filler. So there will be longer, better chapter in the future.
