I felt something deep inside my chest. Like something was wrong. Then hot white pain ripped across my throat. My hands flew to the pain but felt no injury. It couldn't be me then experiencing this. Panic quickly spread through my body.

Landon!?, I called out in my head. Radio silence.

"Is something wrong Luna?" A shaky woman asked. Everyone was a scared and as wide eyed as her.

"Not that I know of." I smiled and kept my cool. "I'm just going to check in on my lovely mate and the rest of my new family. Everything is fine I'm sure of it." Some smiled weakly and I headed down the stairs. I tried to go quickly but not enough to where I looked suspicious.

I hurried to the edge of the territory where I knew he should be. But alas no Landon. I asked the nearest person, Anthony, where he was.

"He went to go check around. He was supposed to be back by now." He looked at his watch and then to the trees.

"Come with me to help find him." I beckoned Anthony behind me. We walked through the woods calling his name as quiet as our voices would allow. Once we got closer to the house we saw a dying fire. I slowed down a little bit to see what was going on. Then a gargled sound made me launch forward to it. On the ground is my mate covered in blood. I quickly went to his side and he tried to talk but more blood bubbled from the wound on his neck. My body froze and no matter how I tried to move to help y limbs would pull back against me.

"Luna!" Anthony exclaimed. My head snapped to him and he was gathering coals from the fire. "You have to cauterize it or he'll die."

You can do it cherry, His voice was pained in my head. I looked down to him and he was gulping for air like a fish out of water. Without thinking I grabbed the coals with my bare hand. Adrenaline had to be pumping because I didn't feel it all. Quickly, Landon brought his hands from his neck and I put the coals in the worst affected area. Right in the middle was where most of the blood was coming from. I let those rest there until the smell of burnt skin wafted to my nose. His mouth stayed open in a silent scream.

When those were mostly shut I took them off and hurried to grab more. My own fingers blistered like sizzling bacon. I still didn't feel it. The dirt and blood congealed together in a thick mass around his head and in his hair. The warmth of it burned me more than the coals did. Once all the skin was fused together I wiped my hands on the front of my shirt. My own blisters popped and bled. But I had to focus on not letting him die.

"Landon you have to stay awake please." I begged him. His eyes would flutter shut then open again. I felt his pulse. Weak but not close to death. After another minute it got better because the wound was shut. A sound of a roaring engine made me turn my head away.

"I had them bring a truck to take us to the hospital wing." Anthony grabbed Landon under his armpits and hoisted him into the air.

"Be careful. His neck might reopen." I shot up and held his head steady. We awkwardly carried him to the truck and the second we were in the bed the driver took off.

'Moon goddess', I prayed. 'Please help me. My pack is being attacked for no reason. My mate might die. I don't know what to do'. Suddenly a feeling similar to being hit in the head with a baseball hat cracked through my head. I felt my eyes roll into the back of my head as I slumped over Landon's torso. My whole body came alive with energy and I jumped like I was being electrocuted. Air circulated around my body and then I face planted on the ground. I let out a small groan and rubbed my forehead. I pushed myself and looked around to see if I've just fallen off the truck.

But I was completely taken back by looking at nothing but white. Wispy golden tinted clouds hovered over the ground. Silken off white banners hung in rows in the air. I stood up fast so I could get a better look around. But I got dizzy and steadied myself. I looked down the hall of light and saw something at the end. Foolishly I started to walk towards the end of the hall.

As I walked the white blurred into thick mahogany walls with warm glowing torches. Moss and grass growed in patches along the ground with small saplings. The banners stayed in place but now they blew with an invisible breeze. I awed at the beauty of it all but I stopped when my toes hit a step. I looked up the steep stairs and there stood a thrown of branches and roots donned with babies breath and violets. A beautiful woman with silky black hair and a satin white dress was perched upon it.

"Welcome." Her voice is as soft as her skin looks. Her pale skin seemed to grow in contrast with her hair. "I heard your prayers and called you here for a chat." She motioned for me to sit. I folded my legs to the side and sat at the end of the stairs. She laughed heartily then I floated up towards her with ease. I was set down gently next to her on a very soft pillow.

"I am very honored." I bowed my head not knowing what else to do.

"You do not have to worry about formalities. You do not possess a wolf. So you are not under my jurisdiction." She waved a dainty hand in the air. "You may be a Luna but I don't decide where you go in the end." She smirked at me. "Anyhow I have been watching the situation from my throne. I can not tell you everything. But I will help your mate. Landon is a very strong leader and I would be glad to help him any day."

"Thank you so much! I couldn't be more grateful."

"But there is one condition." My happiness quickly fell. "Don't look at me like that it's nothing terrible." She smiled reassuringly. "I want you use the health I rejuvenate you with to bring peace not war."

"But what if they do not want to make peace?"

"Then destroy each and everyone of them." Her sunny disposition went grim for just one second.

"How will I know what to do?"

"You will know when the time comes. Now it is time to go." She stood abruptly and so did I. Thorns from the throne cut the side of my wrist. Two small cuts bled slightly. The second I wiped away the blood a bright light flashed in my eyes. Pain spread throughout my entire body as I went back into my own world. My skin felt raw and my eyes burned like fire. As my body reentered the correct realm, my plans came to me like breathing.
