Lila
I honestly didn't know that their dad existed. I just assumed that he died or left them or something. I felt extremely uncomfortable under the weight of others. I just held myself in a tight ball and waited for it to be over.
"Since you have exiled we do not have to cater to you. You must leave. We do not want conflict." Then out of the sunny day there was a strike of lightning. "Or not. The moon Goddess seems to be in your favor today."
"She sent me here for a reason, Dede (pronounced Dee-Dee if you did now know)." I heard a heavy sigh and the door squeaking open. Footsteps lead into the living room. The tension in the air could be cut with a knife. I looked over the shoulder of a guy and tried to look at the man who is my best friend and mates father. The Landon moved to cover my sight. I stuck my tongue out at him and just rolled his eyes. "Who is it that you are protecting?"
"A human." A woman said. I couldn't see here. I couldn't really see anyone other than Landon.
"I won't hurt it." He said lightly. That's a little rude. I know I'm not as strong as these guys but I'm not an it.
"Her names is Lila." Landon said with a loud clear voice. It even made me want to bow my head to his voice.
"Who died and made you Alpha?" He said jokingly. A collective growl rolled from around the room. From what I've collected no one dares disrespects the Alpha.
"You decided to be a terrible person so I took over and made a great pack out of your disastrous one." He hissed.
"We weren't terrible...our values were just out of whack..." He drawled his word's out very carefully. The longer he was there the more on edge people got. I don't think that he is welcome here.
"Tell us what you need so you can leave as soon as possible." Delilah said in a bored tone.
"I need asylum. Food. Shelter." A man to my left groaned.
"Why do you need that? Did you not have a pack of your own?" Landon said condescendingly.
"I left them because I am on a mission from the Moon Goddess herself. I am her doing her work." He seems legit... I think.
"So you leave for a few years and then mysteriously find the Moon Goddess and expect us to forgive you? You must be on something because you are insane." Landon scoffed. This is where I disagree. I know there are some people who lie about finding religion for and excuse but you never excuse someone right away of it.
"Maybe he isn't lying." I piped up. I could see a pleading look from Delilah. I squirmed enough for them to let me up. "You shouldn't make someone doubt their religious beliefs because they have done bad things." I crossed my arms and looked Landon in the eye. He sighed and dragged a hand down his face. I motioned for him to kneel down to my level. He got down lower than me so he had to look up to me.
"Yes?" He said jokingly.
"I think you should be nicer. Maybe he has changed." I whispered.
"You don't know him like I do. What he did three years ago was-" I put my hand over his mouth and he rolled his eyes.
"Buck foo tonet doe." I giggled and uncovered his mouth so I can understand him. "I saaaiid But you don't know."
"People change. Give him a chance." I turned around and stuck out my hand. The man smiled and he put his hand in mine.
"Hello. You must be Lila." He smiled and shook my hand like I was fragile glass.
"I am. Whats your name?" He kept smiling and then said,
"Zachary." I let go and stepped back to Landon who took any hand and licked it. Then I saw the green eyes and knew Oliver was here. I guess because Zachary was dangerous or because he's a dude. Maybe both. I just think it's a little funny. I wonder if it will be this way for anyone I touch?
"It is nice to meet you." I said politely. "So are you hungry? We were just having lunch. You could join us if you'd like." I heard murmurs from behind me.
"That would be great. Thank you." He obviously knew where the kitchen was so I let him walk. I grabbed Oliver by the ear and leaned close to his ear.
"Be nice." He rolled his eyes and nodded. He stood but I held onto his ear and her death stared me. I just smiled and winked.
"Alright everyone. Lets have lunch." Oliver walked past a stunned Delilah and I knew that the next few weeks would be interesting.
