Lila

"Say what?" I laughed.

"I want to mark you." He said again slowly.

"Can you explain a little more?" I haven't heard anything a out a 'mark'. Not yet anyways.

"I'm gonna make Oliver explain it to you. If you never knew what a period was up until a week ago then I don't know what you know."

"You think so highly of me." I grumbled. I waited for the familiar green eyes.

"Alright let's begin. A mark is step one of completing the mating bond. Step two is well... mating. Translation: sex. But what would happen for you is that I would not bite you fully." That sounds super weird.

"You have to do it?" I asked. Would it hurt?

"Yes. Since I am the wolf. It would leave a faint mark and our scents would come together. We can continue to sleep in the same bed for the scent part. However the scent would be faint. So you would practically have to be within one foot to even get a whiff." So basically he bites me, it hurts, people leave me alone.

"So am I allowed to get knocked out?" He tilted his head to the side in confusion.

"Why would you want to get knocked out?" He laughed.

"Well I'm only guessing that being bitten will hurt." I said sarcastically.

"No you silly girl." He hugged me tight to him. "If it was a full mark then it would be very pleasing. But you are 13 and no where near the age of even dating. So a half mark will just make you sleepy. It is a little pinch," He slightly pinched my arm, "You yawn and fall asleep. There are a lot of people who do it. There are some who have slept for three days after a half mark.  A full mark can knock a human out for a week if it so pleased."

"So basically I get a really long nap and people will stop messing with me?" I sad with a smile. he rolled his eyes and grinned.

"If you put it like that, yes." He tucked his head into the side of my neck. His breath tickled my neck and I giggled. His fingers traced the bump on the back of my head. Instead of pain I felt warmth and then the pain going away. Oh yeah. Healing powers.

"Thank you, OIi. You didn't have to do that." I hugged him to me this time. He ended up just laying back with me curled up beside him. I yawned and was ready to go to sleep again. My eyes got blurry and my head spun a little bit. Then I fell asleep.

When I woke up it was night time. I was also not in the hospital. I sat up and looked around the room. Even though it was dark I could tell I was in Landon's room. I switched the lamp on and climbed put of bed. The alarm clock read 5:14 am.

"Landon?" I called softly. I knew he would be able to hear me if he was awake. I cracked the door open an saw a light on in the hall. I decided to look for him in is office. "Landon?" I called again. Then I saw a sudden movement. Jenna stood at he foot of the stairs, her arms crossed.

"Look who's here?" She said moodily.

"I wondered how long it would take for her to wake up." I heard Landon's voice from beside me. I turned my head to him. It was Landon but it wasn't Landon. His lips curled into a crooked grin.

"What's going on Landon?" I asked.

"None of your business, mutt." He barked at me.

"Mutt?" My bottom lip trembled. He growled at me making me back up.

"What are you going to cry? You should have known this was going to happen. I am the rightful Luna. Your just a weak human. A little girl afraid of her own shadow." Jenna said that as I bumped into the banister.

"What do you mean?" I fought the urge to cry.

"Why would I ever want you? I hate you." He pushed my shoulder back. I sailed down the stairs. As my head hit the landing they locked lips.

"NO!" I shouted. I sat up and looked up. I saw the tiles of the hospital roof. Where did they go? Where are they?

"Lila!" Landon rolled off the side of the bed with a pained look.

"Stay away from me." I sobbed. I curled into a fetal position and cried even harder.

"Why? What is wrong baby girl?" He tried to touch my hand but I smacked his hand. He recoiled like I had burned him.

"You hate me. You said so- and-and-" I started sobbing harder. A pain spread threw my chest and the back of my throbbed.

"Why would I hate you, doll? I love you." He cooed. He leaned in carefully and sat down on his knees. I looked into his eyes to see if he was real. His icy blue eyes and soft grin greeted me warmly.

"Landon?" I asked carefully. Small hiccups came from my lips.

"Yes Lila. It's me." I wrapped my arms around his neck and started to cry again. "Oh baby." He rubbed my back in attempt to soothe me. His woodsy scent and soft skin did the trick. He pulled me to him so I was flush against him.

"I'm sorry." I said after my fit was done.

"There is nothing to apologize for baby doll." I felt him smile against my forehead. I'm glad that dream wasn't real. I'd probably go crazy if it was.

"It just seemed so real. I don't know why..." I trailed off with a harsh sigh. I looked at the clock and it is 3:53 am. I shivered and realized we are still on the cold ground. He picked me up bridal style and set me on the bed. He wrapped the blanket around my shoulders and kissed my forehead.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked softly.

"It was you and Jenna. You said that she was the true Luna. That she loved you and you loved her.  That you didn't want me. Then you pushed me down the stairs while you shoved you tongue down her throat." I said the last part coldly. His eyebrows knitted together with confusion at first. Then red rose up his face. Anger.
