Quick Note: So I wrote this before the premiere. I haven't been able to write since watching the premiere, because I just am not to that point yet. But anyways, it's really short and fluffy from Fitz's point of view. Could be set at any time. You may of may not be getting sad or angsty chapters tomorrow. I just don't know when I'll be able to write about them again.

Jemma's anything but normal. Seriously. She'd probably threaten to kill you if you called her that. She even refers to it as the 'n' word, which can get terribly confusing around Triplett. I'm always the one having to clear up what she means before Trip gets offended.
Anyways, oddities of Jemma Simmons. For starters, there's her total focus and reliance on knowledge and science. She has to know things, given her position. When she doesn't know things, good people could die. So she uses every spare chance for research, mostly in the form of reading, if there's new books available on the Bus. Or in the lab, conducting experiments and trying to find a cure for cancer. I have actually walked into her trying to do this, to cure bloody cancer, in our tiny lab with limited resources.
It's beautiful how her mind works. Especially when someone's hurt. Most people develop deep emotional connections with an injured person, rendering them incapable of healing. Jemma keeps a distance between herself and the person's pain. At least until they are likely to recover. Yet she is still gentle and cautious in operations. Then there's me, nearly forgetting the risk and cowering in the corner, away from the formaldehyde stench.
She's so bossy, too. Don't you insult her or you'll never hear the end of it. She's pressured people into following the rules, and if that isn't odd, I don't know what is.
Her compassion is the most perfect thing. She's completely loyal and dedicated to her team, her family. I've never seen anyone so kind, expecting absolutely nothing in return. She isn't embarrassed or frightened to show her care for people, which is brilliant. Her little touches, for example, a hand on my shoulder as I struggle with a project, mean the world to me.
I love her. Honestly, I think I'm the only one that could put up with her forever.
But don't let her know.
