Quick Note: Just some fluff to savor before the tears of tonight's episode. It's how I would imagine real, teenage Fitzsimmons to interact. Also, Ward is a YouTuber, because why not.

"Hello Internet!" Grant waved to his camera. He was with Fitz in his bedroom, vlogging. "I just realized I kind of stole that from Dan... Fitz, I need a new intro." Silence. Fitz loved the final product of these videos, after Grant would edit out all the moments he awkwardly fumbled over what to say next. The words came easily to him, just not quickly, which meant these sessions took a long time.

"Today I'm going to go to the mall with my friend Fitz," Grant pulled Fitz into the frame, and he waved timidly before rushing back out. "And we're going to try to get girls' numbers at Barnes and Nobles with the help of Harry Potter pick up lines. Now I have a few pulled up on my phone here..." Grant listed off a few of them, mostly inappropriate jokes about basilisks in your chamber of secrets and whatnot.

Fitz sighed almost mutely. He surely wasn't using any of those. He wasn't even sure he wanted to be doing this. Fitz was too shy, since he always feared he would come off as a total dork. Though, in retrospect, he was a total dork. He fidgeted with his glasses at the mere thought of walking up to a stranger and talking with her.

"So I'm going to have you film me, and I'll film you, if that's okay," Grant devised in the car on the way to the mall. "And don't be nervous, by the way. It's just talking to pretty girls." Fitz laughed at this statement. The closest he had gotten to talking to a pretty girl before was probably in video games and Doctor Who. Or the girls he would compete against at Mathlete or Mock Trial competitions, but he couldn't consider that to be an actual conversation.

"I've never flirted in my life," he protested, even though he knew he would end up complying.

"Well nows the time to try it out. When you're in your element. Only bookworms and fangirls," Grant offered.

"What if I don't want a girlfriend?" Fitz whined. Literally, whined like a child.

"Bro, are you saying you want a boyfriend? I respect your life choices. Good for you," Grant joked as Fitz disagreed. They both knew about Fitz's secret liking for romance. He would always smile like an idiot while watching Ron and Hermione or Amy and Rory.

"Fitz, don't make excuses," Grant proceeded seriously. "At least attempt to find the Leia to your Han Solo." Fitz snorted at that one. Grant shook his head. "Fine, I give up. Become a lonely cat person."

Once the pair had entered the bookstore, Grant told Fitz which buttons to press, then scouted out his first prey. She was a blonde standing in line at the Starbucks, texting. Although Fitz didn't consider her to be pretty by any means, he wanted Grant to make sure he respected her.

"Relax, I'm not a Sam Pepper," Grant replied, then rolled his eyes. Fitz pressed the button on cue, and hid behind a pillar, trying to be inconspicuous.

"Hey!" Grant started out smoothly. The blonde looked up, startled. A book store wasn't usually a place hot guys would flirt with you. Fitz smirked, wondering how Ward was going to pull this off.

"I just wanted to tell you, that if you were a dementor, I'd become a criminal just to get your kiss," Grant finished confidently. The girl stared at him.

"What?" she asked, utterly confused.

"It was a Harry Potter pick up line. God, I'm bad at this," Ward apologized. The girl started laughing at his embarrassment, then replied.

" I've never seen Harry Potter," she began.

"Read," Fitz coughed. He hated when people only talked about the movie adaptation of something. If you were truly interested in a story, you should immerse yourself in it.
