Hey shippers! I just saw Avengers: Age of Ultron, and it was so good that I needed to write a review of it. SPOILER WARNING.

All of the characters should really have twenty of their own movies because all of them are so wonderful and complex and well-formed. Even little things like Thor's distraction speech in Shakespearean or Cap's "language" are so perfectly in-character. I love every single one of the Avengers equally, even the newer ones.

I would be fine if Cap dies in Civil War like he does in the comics. He seems to have figured out his life, and he knows he is devoted to protecting the world in every way possible. I don't ship him with anyone in this movie, because his heart would've gone to Peggy if he hadn't frozen, and he is 'married to his work' now. Cap is such a good blend of patriotic senior citizen and wise, pleasant softie. I think he's genuinely happy with life.

Nat has a whole new dimension to her, and it's like May with Bahrain. Her backstory is heartbreaking. I actually brought my hands to my face and whispered "no" over and over when the 'graduation' scene played. I cried when she told Bruce she couldn't have kids. She had a ton of great motherly qualities. I mean, the kids loved her. They called her Aunt Nat. Even though she is badass, she is vulnerable just like anyone else, and I love that they can show that in a way that doesn't demean her character. I do slightly ship her with Bruce, just because it fits so well. "I adore you." *kisses* *pushes off cliff* "But I need the other guy."

Bruce also made me cry a lot. After Tony had to use the Hulk Buster on him, and they closed in on his face as he recovered from the battle, I was holding back sobs. He looked so broken and I wanted to step into the screen and hug him and tell him he is not a monster. I think Bruce deserves Nat, though he might say he doesn't. Bruce is literally the most peaceful person ever. He is opposed to any violence, and he second-guesses every life changing science experiment before Tony can get too far ahead of himself. And Mark Rufflo is pretty incredible. (Ha ha that pun)

Tony is fabulously flashy as always, but he always seems to be annoying. Your first artificial intelligence defense system failed and is now actively killing people? Better make a new one! I'm glad that worked out for him, at least, but I still think it was wrong to guilt Bruce into it when he was already so distraught. Also, Pepper is better, people.

Thor never fails to make me laugh with the eloquent speeches and the "you are not worthy". He still doesn't quite understand everything on earth, but he has become more knowledgeable on social standards. Except for when he just steps out of Clint's barn without explanation further than "I had a vision, and I need to have an explanation." I mean, that's pretty vague. I loved seeing Dr. Selvig be all worried and mortal. It was a nice refresher.

Clint had a whole secret life? I mean it was really adorable and I love Laura and the farm but that blindsided me. A lot. And it makes Hawkeye a lot more lovable and cute. That is such a nice storyline for him. I'm so glad he was a main focus this movie. Also, Clintasha is essentially dead. Sorry that was harsh.

I loved the twins. Their cause for joining Ultron was justified, in my opinion. They just wanted peace, and they would turn against whoever was disrupting that. Scarlet Witch especially was amazing. She was so careful with everything, unless she was emotional, then she would either cower away or rip the heart out of someone's body. I look forward to having her on the team. Just imagine her and Nat, discussing how childish the guys are and laughing at their incompetence. Then there's Quicksilver. He had such a 'protective older brother who makes stupid friendly jokes' vibe. I loved his attitude on everything and his curiosity and his accent and his hair and WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE?!!!

I'm okay. No I'm not. #pietrolives

Ultron is an interesting villain. He's robotic, so I feel like he doesn't have morals and therefore can't be evil. He was just following his purpose, which is to create peace, and he misunderstood how to do that, so he wants to kill everything. So he wasn't a very fun villain, with a terrible backstory and justifiable reasons. He's just a computer with slightly above average emotional understanding. I feel like the real villains were Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver (in the beginning at least). Ultron hardly did anything evil, he just malfunctioned on his good duties. Yeah.

I'm so excited for the new additions to the Avengers, nevertheless. Falcon and Rhodey (is his superhero name iron soldier?) and Vision and Scarlet Witch. Vision is weird, but he's one of my favorites. He has like a wise aura that comes with being non-human (had to avoid the term inhuman). I don't know. He's really appealing. And he can lift Thor's hammer, to which the audience applauded and laughed and cheered.

Also, Stan Lee's cameo was perfection. The audience applauded at that, too. He actually interacted with the Avengers. I love him. He is elderly goals. Excelsior.

I think my favorite thing about watching movies at their premiers is the nerdy company. The theater I went to was mostly nerdy teenage guys or critical thirty year old men, so I didn't interact much with them, but being in a group of people who care just as much as you do about the story and the characters is so fun. Half of us waited until the end of the credits, just to make sure there wasn't an end credits scene, and then we all booed the screen when there wasn't one. I MEAN, REALLY? People behind me were cursing Joss Whedon.

Overall, I loved this movie, and I wish they would've expanded on the Marvel universe, but I always wish that when I see Marvel Cinematic Universe productions. It would've been so cool to bring in Coulson's team or Gonzales's team, or have the inhumans show up briefly at a battle. There was the incorporation of Ulysses Klaue who will eventually be a villain in Black Panther, and Agent Carter (I nearly screamed), and of course Thanos, and now everything is set up for the infinity gauntlet storyline. I just really love everything being all connected. This is one of the only film-making companies that plans out all of these separate movies and TV shows to follow one main story. Give me Infinity War now.

As always, comment your opinions. Question of the Marvel event: Who is your favorite Avenger? I can't choose one. I love them all too much.

Peace Out.

-Hannah :)
