Episode Review

SPOILERS FOR THE A HEN IN THE WOLF HOUSE!!!

I'm actually angry.

What? Angry? Yes, I am angry.

That reunion scene was unsatisfactory. It didn't even make me very emotional because of the tension and bad awkwardness. (A good awkward hug or something friendlier would have been acceptable.)

They deserved a better, longer reunion scene. I guess what they got is realistic. Fitz would be doubting her actually being there. Simmons would feel uncomfortable.

But like five lines exchanged between them is upsetting. And this only means several more episodes of them trying to work past the block of awkward in their relationship, then several more to get back into working for a romantic relationship, then lots of episodes of resistance, until finally they are canon. Basically, it's just extending the process so we'll keep coming back, until it's over. This makes me feel like Fitzsimmons will become like side characters again, with only a scene or two an episode, while other character's problems take center stage.

Phew. Now that that rant is over, I can say I am happy Simmons is back! I look forward to Fitz and Simmons' relationships with the new team members!

Speaking of new team members, how awesome was Bobbi Morse?! I went from hating her to loving her, and the fact that she's Lance's ex only adds to my enjoyment. Angry Lance is hilarious, especially when it's over something everyone else basically doesn't care about.

Skye's dad is creepy. But slightly funny. Hear me out. That whole "Let's all stay calm!" while stabbing people, and then cleaning the spatter on the desk like, "Oh, not again," not to mention his jealousy of Coulson. Coulson is just the better father figure. Get over it, you big, maniac baby. (You can see that I don't see him as much of a threat.)

Whitehall is a creepy jerk. His henchman is a dramatic kiss-butt. Simmons' old Hydra lab partner deserved what he got, because he was happy with the idea of mass murder. Basically, Hydra makes me sick, and I hope a majority of their members are secretly still loyal to S.H.I.E.L.D., if given the chance to help.

Do we think Raina will be recruited? Or at least alive by the time Whitehall finds out she doesn't have the Obelisk? I kind of like her, but I wouldn't be crushed if she were hurt.

AGE OF ULTRON TRAILERS NEXT WEEK!!!

Do you think they'll have a Halloween-ish episode? Obviously this next one is about SH.I.E.L.D. and the government, but do you think they will add some sort of spooky theme? Kind of like the episode with the 'telekinetic' girl named Hannah.

I love all of the relationships between the characters, new and old, and Skye's desire to see her dad. This was a good episode overall. Comment your opinions.
