"We're here." the Doctor said as the TARDIS stopped shaking. He made his way over to the door as Fitzsimmons steadied themselves. The Doctor glanced back at them. "Aren't you coming?"
"Yes, one second!" Jemma called excitedly as she nearly sprinted towards him. Fitz followed wobbly behind her.
"I would tell you all what to do when you're here, but it seems like this one already knows everything." The Doctor pointed at Jemma. "So-"
"Alonsy!" Fitz tried. Jemma's smile dropped as she turned to Fitz. He looked at her hopefully.
"Fitz," she addressed him. "That is the eleventh doctor." He nodded. Jemma rolled her eyes. "He doesn't say 'Alonsy!', Fitz! The tenth doctor says that! Remember? 'Alonsy, Alonso' and all that?" Jemma criticized. Fitz looked down at the floor, hope dissolving.
"No, it's okay." the Doctor saved him. "I get confused with the tenth doctor a lot." he lied. Rule Number One: the Doctor lies. Jemma didn't believe him, but she let it go. "Well," the Doctor said as he faced the doors. "Shall we?"
He didn't wait for a reply as he strode out of the TARDIS and onto the London tube. Jemma quickly apologized to Fitz, awkwardly patting his shoulder, before stepping out behind the Doctor. Fitz followed her.
There, on a seat to the right of the car was Miss J.K. Rowling, furiously scribbling down notes on a napkin. Fitzsimmons stared in shock. This was the second idol of theirs they had met in under fifteen minutes. Or you could say under fifteen years. (However time travel works.) Fitzsimmons looked at the Doctor as if they were asking permission. The Doctor nodded, and Fitzsimmons approached.
Jemma opened her mouth to speak, but found herself unable to say anything. So instead the pair just stared at her until she finished her notes and looked up, confused as to why two young people were staring, slack-jawed.
"Oi! Why are you staring at me?" she asked. It could never be a good thing when people on the tube stared at you.
"Oh, sorry," Jemma awoke from her shock. "My name is Jemma Simmons and that is my partner Leo Fitz." Jo stared at them blankly.
"Yeah?" Jo replied.
"Oh yeah..." Jemma turned to Fitz, giving him a questioning look. He shrugged, then Jemma turned back to face Jo. Just as Jemma opened her mouth to apologize, not knowing what to say, Fitz spoke.
"We were wondering what you were writing just now." he said. Jo's critical stare softened as she looked down at the napkin. Fitz followed her gaze to where the phrases "Harry Potter", "Hogwarts", and "lightening scar" were scribed. "What's Hogwarts?" he prompted.
Jo looked up at them reluctantly. She saw their innocent, anxious faces smiling down at her, and she abnormally quickly trusted the strangers. "Well, erm. Hogwarts is an idea I had for a book. It's a school for young witches and wizards..." she trailed off, glancing up at the others' encouraging expressions.
"Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry," Jemma stated to show she was listening. "Sounds totally awesome."
"Uh, yeah," Jo replied, slowly gaining confidence as she continued to talk about Harry Potter, a young wizard who is sent off to Hogwarts, and his magical friends. Fitzsimmons listened in awe.
"Sounds magical." Fitz said after Jo had stopped. Jemma nodded.
"You should definitely get published." she added. Jo smiled.
"Thanks." The tube screeched to a stop. "Um, this is my stop." Jemma and Fitz politely moved so Jo could stand up. She made her way out the doors just before they closed, blonde hair swishing behind her.
Fitzsimmons turned back to the TARDIS, where the Doctor was staring at them expectantly.
"That was amazing!" Jemma said as she passed him and entered the TARDIS, Fitz trailing behind her.
"Yeah, and you almost messed it up, Jemma Simmons. Good thing Fitz was there to save you." the Doctor replied. He was trying to make his intentions (getting the scientists together) perfectly obvious, but Jemma was somehow blind to all of it. She simply skipped up to the controls and turned back to him, smiling in anticipation. Fitz stood by her side. The Doctor approached them as he tried to come up with a plan.
"Where to next, Doctor?" Jemma asked. The Doctor suddenly had an idea.
"I have just the place." He punched in coordinates and pulled the lever harshly, beginning the TARDIS's rocky travel.
