Before I knew it his hands were on my now hot, rosy cheeks pulling me closer to him and smashing his lips onto mine. My eyes widen in shock as I realize what just happened, but soon I fall into the kiss and place my hands around the back of his neck. His lips were surprisingly soft.

His hands move down to my waist as he pulls me closer and one of my hands fell to his cheek. As my hand rested on his cheek I felt the heat from it warm my cold hand so this cold hard face does have warmth.

I didn't want to pull away, and I could tell he didn't either but we eventually did. We stayed in each others arms for a bit, my arms around his neck, face buried in his shoulder, the smell of smoke, cologne, and freshness filling my nose. Dally rested his chin on the top of my head, and his arms were at my waist keeping me close to him.

"We should probably head back... Darry's making chicken, and I don't want Steve to eat all the cake," I say pulling away from the warmth of Dallas. The cool air sent shivers down my spine "yeah," he says. We turn around and walk back to the Curtis house in silence.

When we got there no one questioned where we were or what we were doing, they were to busy tearing apart the chocolate cake that I baked.

"Well there goes the chocolate cake," Dally says as he walks into the kitchen to grab a beer.

When waiting for the food to be ready Dally and I kept quiet. It wasn't to suspicious though because everyone was pretty tired so it was already quiet in the house.

After an hour or so the chicken was ready and everyone gathered at the kitchen table.

I woke up to the bright sunlight shining through my window. I got home at a decent time last night, but didn't end up going to sleep till late because I couldn't get Dally off my mind.

I rolled out of bed and pulled on a pair of light blue jean shorts and a dark red loose blouse. I curled my hair because I couldn't find my straightener, I brushed my teeth, and put on some makeup.

When I looked in the mirror I turned around to make sure my shorts weren't to short. I sighed in disappointment when I realized they were a little short. All shorts were to short on me. My legs are just too long.

I grab a light grey sweater and tie it around my waist to help with the shorts. I walk out of my bedroom and grab some cereal. I pour some milk in and sit down at the table with my grandpa.

We chat about how my worksheets are doing before I finish my cereal and head over to the Curtis house.

When I was walking there I saw Dallas a few meters ahead of me. I tip-toed quietly behind him and jumped out at him.

"Boo!" I yell as I jump in front of him. His monotone expression widens for a second as his body does a slight jump, but relaxes when he sees me "you actually jumped!" I say laughing as I look at the embarrassed Dally, "this is Tulsa, someone could have jumped me," he says regaining his composure, "someone could have jumped the Dallas Winston?" I ask putting a hand onto my heart in shock.

He rolls his eyes at me as he walks up the steps to the Curtis house. It was a saturday so Pony, Soda, Steve, Two, and Johnny were all hear. When we entered the house I was still laughing.

They give both Dallas and I strange looks before returning to what they were doing, "come on admit it, you were a little scared," I say with a smile walking up to him. He smirks and picks me up and puts me on the ground. I kick and shove knowing what he was gonna do.

I wasn't able to escape in time and he started to tickle me. I couldn't breath I kept kicking, but my laughter was making it hard to do so "no stop! I'm sorry!" I say. When he stopped I took a few moments to take a deep breath before pushing him on the ground, "Soda pillow!" I yell pointing to the pillow beside him. He grabbed it and threw it at me.

I began hitting him with the pillow, him trying desperately to get out of my grasp.

We were play fighting for about ten minutes before we both laid on the floor exhausted and sweaty, "I won," I say through deep breaths, "I don't think so," he answers. I sit up, "guys who won?" I ask looking at the guys, "sorry Gracie, but Dally was on ya for longer," Two says while taking another sip of his beer, "I'm going to poison all your beer," I say crossing my arms and looking at a smirking Dally.

"I'm gonna go home and do some of my work," I say starting to get up off the hard floor, "I'll come with you," Dally says also getting up off the floor.

We get another series of strange glances before we head out of the house and down the street. "I don't want to go do my work," I saw with a whine hoping that the more I whine that it will just disappear. "Well then don't do it," dally says looking at me, "well then what else am I going to do?" I say furrowing my eyebrows.

His eyes widen, "how about I go get you that coke I owe you," he says with smile. I remember the night at the movies where Dallas was trying to hit on the red head Cherry Valance, and how I dumped my coke on him telling him that he owes me one because I "used mine to put out his hot head."

"You remembered?" I ask impressed. Dally nods his head with a smile "it was the first time someone dumped a coke on my head," he said, "and it shouldn't have been the last," I say causing him to snicker.

Dally and I went to a little grocery store where we shoplifted some cigarettes, cards, and of course the bottle of coke he owed me.

"Is there an early movie we could go see at the drive in?" I ask after taking a sip of my cold coke, "yeah, but it might not be any good," Dally says throwing his cigarette on the road, "well let's go see one then, who cares if it's not any good, we're not paying," I say with a chuckle as I race him to the drive in.

When I reached the drive in I stopped running and tried to catch my breath. I won, again. Dally came running in holding my sweater in his hand.

I forgot about my sweater it must've fallen off when I was running. I heard a whistle coming from behind me and I turned around to see a Bob and Randy looking me up and down.

Bob was about to say something before Dally steps up beside me giving them the death glare. Bob didn't say what he was about to say and both him and Randy walked away with out a fight.

"What was that about?" I ask confused. I've never been whistled at before. Dally looks down at my shorts and back up at me, "maybe because your ass is hanging out," Dally says protectively.

I look down at my shorts to see that they have rode up my butt and almost half of my ass was hanging out for everyone to see.

My face quickly becomes red and I pull them down as far as they can go. Dally's eyebrows raise at me looking back down at my shorts, "that's as far down as they'll go! My legs are too long!" I say embarrassed.

Dally hands me my sweater and I tie it back around my waist.

The movie was cheesy, but I got through it with Dally, and it was a lot better than doing my work. When the movie was over Dally walked me home.

"Thanks for today," I say, "I really needed to get out," I add, "no problem," he says about to walk away, "Dally!" I yell before he could walk any farther away. He stopped and turned around to look at me, "my grandpa won't be home till late... do you want to come in for a bit?" I ask shifting on the balls of my feet.

"Yeah sure," he says walking back up the steps. I smile and unlock the door.

My room was a bit of a mess because I was still un packing my stuff after I got kicked out, and I'm also just really unorganized.

I sit on my bed and Dallas sits beside me. I was tired even though it wasn't that late "I'm sorry my rooms such a mess," I say looking around, "I can sleep in Buck's place. You know how bad that is," he says wrapping an arm around my shoulder pulling me close to him.

I rest my head on his shoulder and look around my room for what we could do. I then remember my grandpa's darts, "how good are you at darts?" I ask, "only the best," he replies, "we'll see about that," I say with a smile as I get up from the comfy spot resting on Dallas's shoulder and walking into my grandpa's room for the darts.
