From Rags To Riches: Chapter Seven

Anna's heart began to pound, she wondered what she was going to say to Jessie- was she going to admit that she knew of Jessie's daughter Destiny and how she had been taken away? her relationship towards Ralph? or was she going to play dumb and act as if she didn't know anything- all this and more were starting to rush throughout her head, as things seemed to go in slow motion with the doorknob slowly starting to open up, only for Jessie to come into view starting to enter into the area.

"Anna I'm home!" Jessie announced as she put her purse on the doorknob before she closed the door and soon stopped in her tracks noticing Anna appeared somewhat fearful to see her, causing her to tilt her head as she soon spoke out.

"Uh, is something wrong?...do I have...something on my face or something?" She asked feeling around on her face as she began to approach Anna a bit more, with Anna shaking her head- as she cleared her throat, and finally spoke out.

"Urg, no...I just....I'm..uh..I'm going to go make some DINNER." And with this, she turned and began to leave the area, as Jessie gave her a bit of a confused look not knowing what to say to Anna's behavior before she shook her head- as she came into the kitchen following after Anna, she soon spoke out.

"Ann, come on...you know how this works...I ask you what's wrong and I want you to talk to me alright?.. losing a husband can make a lot of bad feelings start to surface." And with this Anna was working on getting thing's ready for dinner taking some ingredients out of the frig, she shook her head and soon spoke out.

"Homemade taco's okay for dinner?"

"Uh yeah, fine..but Anna come on!" Jessie said, as Anna shook her head and continued to get thing's ready for dinner- before she began to turn on the stove, as Jessie halted her in her tracks grabbing her by her shoulder's she spoke out.

"ANNA!" And with this Anna closed her eyes, as she shook her head with some concern it seemed- she soon spoke out.

"I'm fine!"

"You are obviously NOT fine Anna, something's got you like spooked or freaked or something and I just wan-"

"I KNOW ABOUT DESTINY!" Anna yelled as Jessie rose her eyes with shock and sadness it seemed- before she shook her head as she closed her eyes and shoved Anna away as she turned around and shook her head.

"...Who told you...Ralph?" Jessie asked as Anna shook her head.

"...I found the photograph of you and Destiny in your room...it had been bothering me so I asked Ralph...he said she was taken away from you guy's.. and her "new home" wouldn't let you see her."
