From Rags To Riches: Chapter Twenty

The next morning came and Anna had gone off to work while Jessie went off to her own work, it seemed like things were tense between the two friend's- as Anna hadn't seen Jessie apologize to Ralph for their fight, but choose to ignore it as she didn't want to push the two- knowing it must have been a rather hard time for them to have seen their daughter after so long.

Anna knew her work schedule meant she would be staying out of the house a bit longer then Jessie at least for the day, and as she was busy going about her work day- she wondered if that was a good thing or a bad thing? Jessie did seem kind of in a mood and she didn't know how to help her feel better about the whole situation, all the while Anna was kind of eyeing Ralph who was working at the front counter of the shoe place wondering if he was okay- seeing he appeared a little distracted as well.

Anna began to feel bad, she thought she was doing a good thing helping Jessie and Ralph to see Destiny again; but all it seemed like she was doing was causing more of a rift between the two, after their first visit neither of them seemed to be speaking towards each other, and yet beforehand they seemed like good friends- but she tried to shake it off and continue to go about her work day trying to take her mind off of it and onto other things.

A couple of hours had gone by, and Anna knew that Jessie was getting off of work; she had hoped Jessie would be in a better mood when she got back home herself; but she shook it off and continued to do her duty's all the while Ralph continued to go about his own duty's at his job; while the visualization soon changed to that of Jessie's house, revealing Jessie's car which pulled up; before it parked, as Jessie got out of her car and locked it using her key's to press a button in doing so.

Jessie appeared tired, but shook her head and yawned a bit as she stretched and began to approach the front door; with the time being somewhat night out, she knew Anna would be staying out a bit later than she normally would, but this didn't bother her; as she approached her front door and took out her key's, unlocking the door and entering into it- she flipped on the light's, as she tossed her purse off to the side and began to approach the couch sitting down on it with a bit of a yawn once more, she nearly jumped out of her skin upon hearing the sound of her cellphone ringing.

"WAH!" She yelled to herself, overhearing her dog's barking in the background- she shook her head and quickly reached into the pocket of her pant's, pulling out her cellphone and answering it; she said.

"Hello?" And with this, an all to familiar voice spoke out on the other side of the phone.

"Yeah hi?.. I was calling this number back because I kept seeing you trying to call." And with this Jessie's eyes widened, she recognized the voice as belonging to Anna's long lost brother; causing her to stumble a bit with her words trying to say something, before finally managing to spit out.
