From Rags To Riches: Chapter Forty-Seven

 "Yep, that sounds about Jessie." Anna's voice was heard, as the visualization soon flashed back to the present with Ralph chuckling a bit; as he soon added.

"Yep, I know ... but at the time I was homeless AND pretty hopeless...I wasn't really thinking she'd come back to tell me the details of the job she had for me; and at one point I was starting to leave the area because people aren't very nice to homeless people hanging around their property's, but then she showed up and she told me that if I was still interested I'd have the job."

"What did you say?" Anna asked as Ralph gave her a bit of a look.

"Okay you were homeless, pretty stupid question..you took it right?" Anna asked as Ralph shook her head.

"Yes, but Jessie's kindness didn't stop there," Ralph explained as Anna tilted her head.

"What else did she do?" Anna asked.

"Pretty simple really... " Ralph said, as the visualization soon flashed to another memory of his while he began to explain it to Anna.

"Your ...your saying your friend will let me cut some bushes and whatnot for like ..a total of twenty dollars, and he needs this done every single week?" Ralph asked, as the visualization soon flashed back to that of a much younger looking Ralph staring at Jessie who shook her head, seen carrying some grocery bags.

"Mm-hmm, his name is Andrew; he's always complaining that his hedges need to be tended too... and he's been looking for someone who'd be willing to work for little pay... I mean I know it's not much, but it's a start right?" She said as Ralph shook his head.

"T...Thanks.." He said, as Jessie smiled and shook her head.

".....Why don't you come with me back to my place, and I can give him a call for you?" She suggested, as she soon added.

"We can get you showered and shaved, all ready for your interview with your new boss." And with this Ralph smiled as he shook his head, before Jessie motioned for him to follow; as the two of them began to head towards Jessie's car, with Jessie being the first one to enter into the car; after putting her grocery's away, as she unlocked the door for Ralph to do the same, as Ralph entered into the passenger seat of the car he appeared to hesitate.

"You alright?" Jessie asked tilting her head, as Ralph shook his head.
