From Rags To Riches: Chapter Seventeen

With Jessie gaining Anna's brother's phone number from the old friend she called, she couldn't help but to hesitate; knowing how Anna was towards her family, she knew Anna wouldn't be too happy about seeing them again- but at the same time she knew it had to be for the best for Anna and with what Anna did for her, she knew she had to push through and do something good for her too.

Jessie began to dial the number wondering what Anna's brother would say, as she began to tap her foot with some anxiety waiting for the brother to pick up the phone hearing the phone making noise as though it was ringing but nobody had answered, finally she heard it go to voice mail causing her to shake her head with some annoyance; as she then hung up and redialed once more waiting to see if someone would answer but then again nothing.

"Come on, pick up pick up.." She said, as she recalled the number- but once again nobody picked up, causing her to growl with some frustration as she put the number into her cellphone before tossing it away not wanting Anna to get any wind of what she was trying to do just at the time being, before she told herself to wait a bit and try again.

Jessie began to return back to her cleaning, all the while her mind was drifting onto various thing's namely her upcoming visit with Destiny, as she had hoped it would go well and Lauren would like her and Ralph, but at the same time she was trying not to get herself to hopeful- although a big part of her was getting excited, she was wanting to see Destiny and she was wanting to talk with her- she hadn't seen Destiny in ages, and she wanted to see what she was like now.

Finally the time came for Anna to return home, with the visualization flashing back to the shoe source warehouse- as Anna began to gather up her thing's, before she soon looked over towards Ralph who was still working behind the counter top- as she came over towards him (having her purse thrown across her shoulder) she leaned on the counter a bit as she soon spoke out.

"Ralph, hey!..just wanted to let you know I'm leaving." And with this Ralph perked his head (seeming to be focused underneath the desk at the time) as he at the moment appeared to be holding papers, but shook his head and said.

"Oh right, right your shift ended..okay- I'll see you soon." And with this Anna shook her head, as she soon added.

"Don't worry okay? Lauren's gonna love you, just ..be you." She insured patting him on the shoulder, before she turned and began to leave the area- all the while Ralph remained behind to finish up some paperwork while his night time employee's appeared to be busy at work at the time being, all the while Ralph knew his shift was coming to an end; but he wanted to finish up at least A LITTLE bit of paperwork.

Meanwhile, Anna began to head back to Jessie's house, whistling to herself- she found herself to be in pretty high spirits, as she was practically dancing her way home; she was overly joyed at what she had done for not only Jessie but Ralph and EVEN Destiny. She was excited for Jessie and Ralph to finally see their child again, even though she knew Wednesday wasn't for another two day's, she was still happy and couldn't wait to introduce Lauren to her best friend's.
