From Rags To Riches: Chapter Fifty-Five

It took Jessie a little bit, but she had managed to find Ralph's mother's name- and upon finding the name Ralph had taken out his cell phone and began to dial as he turned and began to leave the area, heading down the hallway and disappearing behind one of the room doors; while the remaining people were left wondering how the conversation was going to go, Anna specifically wanted to go eavesdrop a bit to see how the conversation was going, but out of respect choose to wait around.

It seemed like hours to the group, but soon enough the next thing Anna, Melanie, and Jasmine knew; Ralph came into view coming out from the room he had gone into to speak with his mother; as he had his cellphone in his hand, before he put it away in his pocket and began to approach the couch sitting down on it.

"Ralph?" Anna questioned.

"Ralph?"

"Ralph?" Jasmine and Melanie asked as Jessie came up a bit closer towards him.

"Is everything okay?..did your mom agree to help us?" Jessie asked as Ralph shook his head.

"I ...uh...I ...don't know." Ralph muttered appearing to somewhat fight back tears, as he shook his head; and soon closed his eyes taking in a deep breath of air, before adding.

"..She said she'd want to meet us..she gave me some kind of address and she said we can meet tomorrow to talk about thing's..." And with this Jessie pet his shoulder a bit, as Anna appeared concerned before she shook her head.

"We can all come with you to support you Ralph, whatever your mother has to say.." Anna said as Ralph shook his head as he spoke out.

"C-Can you all PLEASE just give me some room?" And with this Jessie backed away, as did Anna and Jasmine along with Melanie all of them appearing concerned and confused before Ralph soon spoke out.

"...I know your all wanting to support me and everything, but it's just making me more STRESSED out how you're all coming around me asking me how I'm okay and thing's like that... just..just please leave me alone about this ..c-can we talk about something else?..you know, ANYTHING else but this stupid trial, thievery, and seeing my mom again AFTER so long?!" And with this everyone began to look around, as Anna shook her head.

"Okay, okay...we're sorry, we'll talk about something else," Anna said.

"But what?" Melanie asked.

"Anything else, really.." Jasmine added as Anna shook her head.
