From Rags To Riches: Chapter Fifty

It seemed rather quiet between Anna and Ralph as they left Melanie's and made their way to Jessie's in order to pick up Destiny, with Ralph wondering if Anna would be the one to approach Jessie and tell her about meeting with Melanie; or if he should? but he tried not to dwell too much on it, as the two of them soon pulled up to Jessie's house, and with Ralph parking the car he soon overheard Anna speak out.

"So? excited about getting Destiny for a few days?"

"...Huh? oh yeah, yeah!" Ralph said looking over at her as he began to unbuckle himself with Anna doing the same; the two of them getting out of the car, and heading up to the front door leading into Jessie's house, with Anna meanwhile wondering how she was going to bring up the whole thing to Jessie and if Jessie would be WILLING to meet with Melanie or not, because from Anna knew Jessie WOULDN'T dare meet Melanie.

Ralph was the first one to knock on the door, and within a matter of moments, Jessie came to it and answered the door; as she soon spoke out.

"Oh hey, come on Destiny's just getting the rest of her stuff together." And with this Ralph and Anna shook their heads, as Jessie allowed for the two of them to come walking in before she soon closed the door behind her; as she spoke out.

"SO, how did the meeting with Melanie go?" And with this Anna looked over at Ralph as though waiting for Ralph to say something, with Ralph not knowing what to say; Anna soon spoke out.

"Actually..there's something we need to talk to you about."

"Okay, what is i-"

"Okay mom, I'm ready." Destiny's voice was heard, as Destiny soon came into view exiting from the hallway carrying with her a small looking suitcase; as she soon spoke out.

"Dad! hi"

"Hey baby, can you go wait in the car? I need to talk with Anna and Jessie alone for a few moments." And with this Destiny shook her head, as she began to leave the home, exiting through the front door; Jessie waved to her, as she soon spoke out.

"Bye, be good for daddy." And with this Destiny looked over and shook her head as she waved, before leaving the area; before Jessie soon crossed her arms and turned to face Ralph and Anna, shaking her head; as she soon added.

"..So. ..what is it you want to talk to me about?"

".....Well uh...I don't know how to say this, so I'll just ..come right out and say it." Anna said looking over at Ralph who shook his head before Anna soon added.
