From Rags To Riches: Chapter Thirty-One

Soon enough the visualization showed that of Lauren's home, with Lauren coming into view sitting down on her couch bouncing her leg a bit; she was nervous about the next visit with Jessie and Ralph along with what she thought would be Anna, as she had wondered if this was all good for Destiny?

Was it good for Destiny to see her birth parents? and was it good that she was making friends with Destiny's birth parent's? Anna seemed to stand by them pretty strongly, and from the last visit it seemed like they were very kind and considering, but she wondered still if she was making the right choice, she knew she really couldn't help it; just being concerned about the whole thing and all was because of Destiny namely.

Before long Lauren heard the sound of her doorbell ringing, causing her to perk her head as she stood up from sitting on the couch and began to approach; looking through the peephole and seeing Jessie along with Ralph appearing nervous, she shook her head and took in a deep sigh; before opening up the door, allowing for Ralph and Jessie to enter into the area; as she soon spoke out.

"Hey, you two..what's up?" She asked as she looked outside as though wondering where Anna was; before closing the door behind her, and flipping around to face them brushing some of the hair out of her eye and putting it behind her ear; as she soon spoke out.

"Where's Anna?"

"...Uh, about that." Jessie said as she and Ralph exchanged looks; before Ralph soon spoke out.

"Anna had kind of a family emergency and she had to leave town for a couple of days..."

"Family emergency? it sounds serious, is everything okay?" Lauren asked as Jessie shook her head.

"Yeah, it's fine.." Jessie said with a nod, as she soon added.

"Just, she's going to be gone for a little while...we're not so sure, how long; but .." And with this, she began to play around with her hair nervously it seemed, as she soon added.

"We know she'll come back soon."

"Right, okay...well there is something I want to talk to you two about..take a seat," Lauren said, as Ralph and Jessie exchanged looks their hearts seeming to go into their throats wondering what Lauren was wanting to talk about; before both of them began to approach the couch and sat down in it, as Lauren soon added.

"..Now before you two have a heart attack, because that's what you look like you're about to do...don't worry I'm still going to let you see Destiny.." And with this Jessie and Ralph both sighed deep sighs of relief, before Lauren came over towards in front of them as she soon added.
