From Rags To Riches: Chapter Nineteen

Soon enough the visualization showed that of Anna getting back into her car with Jessie getting in the passenger seat and Ralph getting in the back seat, the three had finished the visit with Lauren and Destiny- and all began to buckle up getting ready to head back home, with a long silence coming between the three of them- as Anna began to pull away, Jessie soon spoke out.

"I think it went fine, do you think it went fine? I think it went fine!"

"...I think it went pretty good.." Ralph said as Anna shook her head continuing to keep her eyes on the road- she soon added.

"I do ..think it went just fine."

"What was that?" Jessie asked looking over at her.

"What was what?" Anna asked looking over at her, as Jessie soon added.

"That long paused you just took...what was that about?"

"Long pause?... I didn't pause." Anna said.

"Actually you kinda did, but it wasn't long..it was pretty small," Ralph remarked.

"Do you not think it went fine?!...wh-what did I do!?" Jessie asked with panic, as Anna shook her head.

"It's nothing you did or Ralph did, I think it was what Destiny had said," Anna said.

"...What Destiny said?..what?" Jessie asked.

"Mom and dad...she called you ..mom and dad and I saw Lauren give a bit of a look, I think she didn't like it," Anna explained, as Ralph and Jessie exchanged looks before Ralph soon added.

"But we ARE her parent's..."

"..Yes, but Lauren's been raising her for a while- she must have felt a little upset when she heard Destiny call you mom and dad...I mean she didn't really say anything, but if it was my kid- I'd have a problem with it." Anna said as Jessie lowered her eyes a bit.

"So what...do you think we're not going to see her again?" She asked as Anna shook her head.

"What? no, not at all..it's just...Lauren may be taking you off to the side and asking if you can correct Destiny next time she says it." Anna said.
