From Rags To Riches: Chapter Forty-Five

The visualization soon showed that of Anna and Ralph inside of the elevator as it was heading down, with a long silence between the two of them; Ralph soon shook his head, breaking the silence by saying.

"I...I messed up everything didn't I?"

"What are you talking about Ralph?" Anna asked as Ralph shook his head.

"She tried to say she was sorry, and I basically screamed in her face about the whole thing and said I didn't accept her apology....it's more than likely she ... won't do the book deal." He said, as Anna appeared concerned and shook her head.

"Ralph the woman basically made you go to jail for thirty whole day's..and you said you were just out of high school..doesn't that mean you went to jail like when you were nineteen or so?" She asked as Ralph lowered his head a bit.

"Yeah, at the time I had gone to prison though ..I had JUST had my twentieth birthday." He stated as Anna shook her head.

"You went to jail on your BIRTHDAY? oh my god, this is getting sadder by the moments!" Anna said, as Ralph chuckled a bit and shook his head.

"...." Ralph was silent, as Anna shook her head.

"If you don't mind me asking." She said, as the elevator stopped allowing for the two of them to exit out of it and start to head for the exit of the building, as she soon added.

"What exactly happened with you being sent to jail, you know like ..did the police just show up out of the blue and arrest you?"

".....I remember it very clearly...I had walked Melanie home after a date, it was the middle of the night but I was feeling kind of hungry; so when I got back home, I made myself a sandwich and was starting to head to bed.. at the time I was living with someone, but we basically had two separate lives, sure we'd call each other like roommates normally would, we'd talk and ask some question's..but as far as friendship goes?..eh, we didn't really have one and I was okay with that.. I was just glad he was letting me live with him." Ralph explained, as he soon added.

"...So anyway, I made myself a sandwich; and my roommate was already asleep seeing as he had been on "day shifts" with his job he always had to wake super early and go to bed super early. I was trying to be quiet, as I walked towards my room but I had to pass by the front door to do so, and that's when I saw the police sirens blaring through the front door..."

"..Yeah, so?" Anna asked, the two of them starting to walk along the street's- before Ralph soon added.
