From Rags To Riches: Chapter Eighteen

For what seemed like years to Jessie, Ralph and Anna, was only a couple of days- before the big day finally had come, the day that they were scheduled to come over to Lauren's house for a visit with Destiny. And while Jessie was trying to come up with everything and anything to get out of it, being simply too nervous- she kept feeling herself wanting to go, she wanted to and not wanted too as well; she didn't want to mess up, but she also wanted to see Destiny, and with every excuse she thought of- she'd end up talking herself out of it and continuing to want to go.

Ralph meanwhile was nervous, as the minutes clicked closer towards the day- finding himself zoning in and out at work, he tried to focus on what was in front of him rather than the day itself; worried about messing up and making Lauren mad, he wondered if Jessie would forgive him if he did mess up? would Anna even?

Anna wasn't that nervous about the visit, but nervous about the situation itself- she knew it could be very stressful for birth parents to see their adopted daughter after so long; how would Jessie and Ralph feel about Destiny calling Lauren "mom" would they be able to follow all the rules set by Lauren and so on.

Soon enough the visualization showed that of Jessie's car, as Anna came into view entering into the driver seat of the car with Jessie seen entering into the passenger side of it, as Ralph soon entered into the back seat of the car- with Anna being the first one to buckle up, she soon said.

"..So you two ready? today's finally the day to see Destiny!"

"..Uh, s-sure..ready." Jessie said with a nod.

"Yeah," Ralph answered very vaguely, as Anna appeared somewhat concerned seeing the two appeared CLEARLY nervous, she took a moment to lower her head a bit as she shook her head and said.

"Do you two REALLY want to go through with this?..cause I can call Lauren and cancel..it's really okay."

"No, it's fine.." Jessie said.

"...Yeah, we're just nervous- but we want to go through with this." Ralph added, as Anna looked over at Jessie and then at Ralph, as she shook her head and soon began to start the car; all the while saying a little prayer to herself that things would go out okay and Jessie along with Ralph would be able to keep coming by for visits to see their daughter.

As Anna pulled out of the driveway of Jessie's house, she began to head towards Lauren's house- seeing both Jessie and Ralph appeared anxious, she couldn't help but wonder what was going through the both of their head's about seeing their daughter after so long. She also wondered how Lauren was feeling about letting the birth parent's come by for a visit, and what about Destiny in all of this? how would Destiny feel about everything? would Destiny call Jessie and Ralph mom and dad? would one of them have to correct her and tell her to call Lauren mom and them Jessie and Ralph? or would it all go well and thing's keep going out smoothly as they got to see their daughter each time Lauren picked a day?
