From Rags To Riches: Chapter Sixty-Five

"..Just...answer the question Jessie, please.." Anna said as Jessie lowered her head; before she sighed and shook it, turning around to face Anna; she cleared her throat and spoke out.

"Okay look, I don't wanna make you upset...I don't want to make Ralph upset or anything ...but truthfully ...to be honest, I'm worried." And with this Anna appeared saddened, as she shook her head with some doubt it seemed; before lowering her head, and continuing on with.

"S-...So you think we're all going to jail too?"

"I'm hoping I'm wrong, but ....last time I had something legal happen to me ...last time ...you know the police got involved they took away my daughter because of some kind of false report ...I MEAN how can you be okay with police after that? how can you have ANY FAITH in them at all?"

"......" Anna was silent, as she appeared to almost be fighting back tears; before she shook her head, and spoke out.

"Y-You know what? I gotta go."

"Anna wait," Jessie spoke out as Anna turned around starting to walk away from the area, as she soon added.

"Anna please don't walk away from me!"

"NO, YOU KNOW WHAT!" Anna yelled flipping around to face her, as she soon added.

"YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S WALKING AWAY! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S GIVING UP ON ME AND RALPH!" And with this Jessie appeared saddened, as Anna shook her head tears in her eyes; she added.

"ALL OF THE YEARS we've known each other, ALL OF THEM- even though I began to be a bad friend and NOT LISTEN to you as much as I'd like; I never STOPPED being your friend, I STILL CAME OVER FOR VISITS, I STILL WANTED TO TALK TO YOU! I NEVER GAVE UP ON OUR FRIENDSHIP! this..this is giving up on not only me but Ralph." And with this, she turned around as she began to leave the area, with Jessie appearing saddened as though not knowing what to say.

"...I'm ..sorry." She stated, with Anna throwing her hand up into the air as though saying she didn't want to hear it- before she continued to walk away from the area, with Jessie lowering her eyes as though not knowing what to say, before she shook her head as she began to return back to the table with Ralph's mother, father, Matthew, Melanie, and Jasmine as well as Rose.

Upon approaching she could see Anna speaking with Matthew before he shook his head; as she then gave Jessie a bit of a look, before she began to leave the area- while Jessie shook her head, as she returned back to her seat and sighed sitting down, adding.

"You going to be leaving too?" She asked looking over at Matthew, who shook his head as he added.
