From Rags To Riches: Chapter Fifty-Three

"Jasmine?.. how did you know that I?" Melanie's voice was heard, as the next thing that was seen was the sight of Melanie seen exiting from a prison it seemed, as she came rushing over towards Jasmine who came into view shaking her head; as she gave a hug to Melanie with Melanie returning the hug.

"Let's just say I figured it out and got the bail money," Jasmine said, as she soon added.

"So what happened? did you steal from your own company again?" And with this, she and Melanie began to head over towards a car Melanie knew belonged to Jasmine, as Melanie shook her head.

"Of course I didn't!... but I mean the police were telling me how my company had been facing problems, and they knew that I had worked together with a few people in order to sneak the money under the table sort to speak an- oh my god.." Melanie said stopping in her tracks.

"..What's wrong?" Jasmine asked looking over at her, as Melanie shook her head.

"RALPH!" She yelled quickly rushing over towards the car and getting into it, with Jasmine appearing concerned as she quickly rushed into her car as well; getting herself seat belted, as she began to start it.

"You mean that guy you framed for helping you with the last prison situation?"

"I DIDN'T frame..never mind, YES that guy!...the police made mention about me dealing with some people to help me steal the money, maybe they took him and Anna in too?" Melanie questioned, as she shook her head.

"FLOOR it and get ready to pay more bail money! the jail they were taken too must have been closer to their house!" And with this Jasmine shook her head, as she quickly stepped on the gas peddle in her car; causing it to rocket off towards the jail she knew was closer towards Ralph's house.

Soon enough the visualization showed that of another prison, with Jasmine's car seen pulling up towards it- as she parked the car, and shook her head.

"Wait here." And with this she got out of the car and began to dash towards it, with Melanie remaining where she was; as she appeared to be hesitating not knowing what Ralph or Anna were going to say, but hoping they were allowed bail so they didn't have to spend some time in jail in the least, all the while her thoughts were also on the missing money; wondering who took it? and why?

It seemed like hours to Melanie when in reality it was only a matter of mere moments, before she perked up her head upon taking notice into Jasmine coming into view approaching the car once again with Ralph and Anna following after her; as Melanie was trying her best to try and see how Anna and Ralph were, but it seemed as if their emotions were blank to her; and she couldn't quite pinpoint what may be on their minds.
