From Rags To Riches: Chapter Thirty-Five

Soon enough the visualization showed that of Anna and Matthew driving in Matthew's car, all was silent between them; as the two of them were starting to head back to the hotel after Matthew had gotten back from the movies with Andy, while Matthew seemed to be happy having seen the movie with Andy, he also wondered what sort of thing's Anna and Janet had talked about when the two of them were gone.

"....So, Anna.." Matthew spoke out, as Anna perked her head looking over at him.

"Hmm?" She questioned, as Matthew shook his head.

"...What did you and Janet talk about?" Matthew asked as Anna shook her head and soon spoke out.

"..Nothing really..you know, just girl talk... " And with this Matthew shook his head, as the two of them continued on towards the hotel; before Anna soon spoke out.

"....You know, I talked to Wendy." And with this Matthew looked over at Anna with a bit of shock, before he soon stopped the car pulling it over; he added.

"...What?"

".....She said you and her had the affair.." Anna stated as Matthew appeared shocked.

"....Look, Anna ...I ... I was just ...I ...she's ...she's got to be lying." Matthew said as Anna gave him a bit of a look.

"Matthew you are saying you want us to be closer like a family SHOULD be, but if you keep lying to me it's not going to help anything," Anna said, as Matthew lowered his head a bit.

"...Okay.. look, I ...I just...I didn't know how you'd react to overhearing something like that..and I was just ... I ...I didn't want you to hate me more than you .." Matthew hesitated not seeming to be able to finish, with Anna perking her head.

"So it's true?..you had the affair with Wendy?" She asked as Matthew shook his head.

"..It's true.." He muttered as Anna shook her head.

"Why would you do something like that?...why would you cheat on a woman you were married too? a woman you had a KID with?" She asked as Matthew shook his head.

"Anna..it's just ..there was a lot of problems between me and Janet, and when mom died..thing's just got worse... and ... and I don't know I was stupid and sad.. and I just ...made a mistake, getting to know Wendy and starting something with her ..it was just ... it was a way for me to handle everything I guess.." He said as Anna appeared saddened.
