From Rags To Riches: Chapter Sixteen

The following morning Jessie and Anna went about their day, knowing Wednesday was coming up make Jessie anxious wondering what it was going to be like to see Destiny again after so long, and how Lauren was going to treat her- she tried to tell herself not to get her hopes up too high though, and she wanted to remain as behaved as she can when it came to interacting with Lauren.While it was Jessie's day off, Anna still had to go to work- and with the finishing of their breakfast, each of them were rather silent toward's each other; as Anna shook her head and helped to put her plate away, before she grabbed her purse and threw it over her shoulder; she spoke out.

"I'll see you later Jess, have fun staying at home." And with this Jessie shook her head as she waved to her before Anna began to leave the area waving goodbye to her as well; with Anna shutting the door behind her, the visualization soon followed Anna as she began to make her way towards Ralph's shoe source.

It didn't take her very long to make it to her work, and that was one of the thing's she liked about working at Ralph's shoe place- she knew it was pretty close by, it was something she could walk too- that and she did like some of the employee's that worked there, plus it was pretty easy to do, even though the pay wasn't the best.

Finally making it over to the shoe source, she entered into it and noticed that Ralph was the only one there starting to set up for the day's work- cleaning up some of the wall's, he looked over at Anna; and with this Anna perked her head as she soon spoke out.

"Ralph! I didn't think you'd be here THIS early."

"Funny, I was going to say the same thing about you," Ralph said, as he slowly began to get off of a ladder he was standing on- putting the rag he was using to clean the wall's in an empty bucket of water; before he soon added.

"I guess you wanted to be ready?"

"Mm hmm.," Anna said with a nod, as she soon put her purse off to the side; before she added.

"I know it's a little while before we open, but you know- the early worm gets the bird."

"...I don't think that applies to this situation, but okay." Ralph said, as he began to put the cleaning supplies away; before he soon added.

"..By the way, I wanted to say ..personally thanks.." And with this Anna tilted her head, as Ralph soon added.

"You know, with the whole ...Destiny thing, I mean..I can't say this enough; you are the GREATEST friend ever.." And with this Anna smiled, but could tell something seemed off in Ralph- causing her to squint her eyes a bit, as Ralph began to head towards behind his desk; before Anna soon added.
