From Rags To Riches: Chapter Fifty-Six

Things seemed to go smoothly for Anna, Jessie, Jasmine, Ralph, Matthew and Melanie as they all stayed with Ralph at his house until the following morning- meanwhile Jessie managed to give Destiny's baby sitter a caller and ask if she could watch Destiny for a little longer, to which it was perfectly okay with the baby sitter as long as Jessie agreed to pay extra.

Finally night turned into morning, and the day that everyone was supposed to meet Ralph's mother came- with Ralph appearing to be a nervous wreck; twiddling his finger's, appearing to struggle to breath a bit; and not saying much, everyone got themselves ready and began to head out towards the location that the mother had offered to meet.

With the visualization soon showing that of Jasmine's car revealing Jasmine at the car, along with Melanie in the passenger seat as well as Matthew seen in the back, no three of them saying much of anything towards each other; following behind the car in front of them, as the visualization soon changed to that of the car in front of them- revealing Jessie at the wheel, Ralph in the passenger seat and Anna behind them in the back seat; all of them remaining rather silent towards each other.

"........So uh ..what's your mother's name?" Anna asked trying to bring up some subject to talk about, with Ralph perking up his head; as he looked behind him (hearing Anna from there) he shook his head, as he spoke out.

"Her name is Veronica." 

"And your sister's is Rose right?" Anna asked.



"Well yeah, but for whatever reason Rose liked the name Destiny; so I often called her Destiny," Ralph explained, as Anna shook her head; with Jessie soon adding.

"..Do you think Rose will be with your mom?" And with this Ralph looked over, as he shook his head not knowing what to say; before looking out of the window, as though not wanting to really talk; Jessie looking in the rear view mirror towards Anna who appeared concerned, not knowing what to say.

"Well ..the address she gave was some kind of park...so I guess we're spending the day at the park?" Jessie spoke out, as Anna shook her head.

"I always use to kinda like the park when I was a kid...I mean I wasn't really outdoorsy, but ...the park had some kind of gentleness that I liked to it." Anna said as Jessie giggled a bit.

"I always was into drawing when I was little, maybe the park gave a lot of ideas for me?" She questioned before Jessie shrugged a bit as she continued to focus on the road.

"You think your brother's biting Jasmine and Melanie's head off? I mean he almost got into a fight with Melanie." Jessie said, as Anna chuckled a bit and shook her head.
