My heart dropped when I saw Loki and my children were nowhere to be seen. I was back in the white room alone with Atarah. I l glared back at Atarah as I felt my anger rise. "Do you have any feelings?! I've been through so much in the past year!"
Atarah scoffed. "Spare me of your excuses. You are not human, Storm. Surely those obstacles can be easily dealt with."
I clenched my fists. "If you want to help your planet then use my kriffing mind, but leave me out of this. I need to leave."
"You are not going until you've successfully figured out a way for us to travel back in time." Atarah retorted in an authoritative tone.
"Believe me, I would love to help you out, but I've got bigger problems to worry about." I shot back.
Atarah raised an eyebrow. "Bigger problems than ours?"
"Yeah, you would be surprised. I'm talking about fixing problems that affected the whole universe. But I don't expect your egotistic self to understand." I rebuked. "So if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way."
I then raised my hands, focusing on everything around me. In no time, a blast of blue flames hit the walls. The entire room shook, causing Atarah and me to fall with a thud. I glanced over at one of the walls to see a crack. Atarah slowly climbed up to her feet before looking at me with a stern look. "This machine is strong. There's no way you can escape."
"Try me, Beyoncé." I rebuked.
She gave me a confused look, causing me to let out a sigh. "It's a Terran reference."
Man, I think I've spending to much too much with the Terrans. Without thinking twice, I tried again. I extended out my hands, feeling everything around me. This time I used the Force, sending a wave against the wall with a crack. The crack began to spread its way towards the other walls, making split. However this still wasn't enough. Atarah wore a horrified look as she saw this. She placed a hand on my arm, in an attempt to stop me. "If you try to escape, you will damage yourself possibly killing yourself."
"There's no harm in trying. Besides it's only a possibility I get myself killed." I commented before shrugging her hand off my arm.
If I do this right, there's a chance I'll escape without killing myself. I took a deep breath before raising my hands again. I then used the Force, creating more cracks in the walls, close to where the split was.
"Stop! If you continue, you will kill yourself." Atarah warned.
I ignored her as I continued my attempt to escape this miserable prison. When she saw I wasn't stopping, she continued. "You are very reckless."
"Well, you know what they say about Corellians. We are so reckless that we have rocket fuel for blood." I replied with a proud look.
At that moment, I heard Loki's voice in my head. "Storm, darling, combine all your power together."
I then realized what he meant. I concentrated hard, feeling the energy surge through my veins and out of my hands. Icy blue flames combined with the power of the Force were pushed against the walls. More cracks formed and began to connect with each other. After a few seconds, the walls came tumbling down. Next thing I know, Atarah and I were flung back onto the ground. My eyes then opened and my ears were ringing. I looked around, I found myself free of the Chronicom machine, which was now fried.
I was in a control room of a space ship. As I weakly climbed to my feet, I saw Malachi, Baal-Gad, and three other hunters gathered around Atarah, who appeared to be unconscious. As soon as they saw me awake and out of the machine, they were baffled. However they were also furious at me. The hunters wasted no time in charging towards me. The first hunter lunged towards me, but I dodged just in time. As soon he turned around, I combined the Force and the energy from my fist, punching his jaw. He flew back, hitting one of the walls before falling to the ground, knocking him unconscious. The second and third hunter lunged towards me with Malachi and Baal-Gad not too far behind them.
