I gave Kina a warning look. Kina raised her hands. "Hey, I'm only joking. Jeez, no need to be so serious."
"Do you believe what she said? That their bodies are being inhabited by some being?" Daisy asked.
"We've seen it before with Robbie Reyes." Jemma commented.
"I hope May studied the footage before she went in there, because she'll have to pry the truth out of him." Ahsoka commented.
Daisy nodded. "He's been hiding it."
"Yeah, she watched it a few dozen times." Jemma informed us.
She glanced over at a screen of Sarge's room where May stood, interrogating him. Jemma then continued. "I've loaded the room with equipment. I'm running every multi-spectral scan I can think of, trying to understand what's inside him."
"She'll get him to tell us." I commented.
"Yeah." Jemma said.
I narrowed my eyes. She seemed to be holding something back, which Daisy noticed.
"What aren't you saying?" Daisy asked.
"Izel told Sarge that his memories of of loss, of family-" Jemma began.
However Daisy cut her off. "Heard all about it."
"That's the part May watched over and over. She thinks Daisy, she thinks he's remembering us." Jemma explained.
"What about the woman who looks exactly like my sister?" Alotren asked.
"She calls herself Cinra. Izel told her she was one of them, like Sarge." Ahsoka clarified.
"Where is she? I want to interrogate her myself." I urged.
A familiar voice spoke out. "There's no point in trying."
I turned around to see the alternate version of myself. Of course, that's why Leo got confused. There's another Storm from a different timeline. She wore one of my old Corellian outfits with a white tunic, a black vest, Corellian bloodstripes pants, a belt, and black boots. Everyone else watched us, rather shocked. I had to admit, I was rather baffled as well. I still couldn't believe she survived that crash along with Leo and Enoch. Part of me wished Maya had survived instead of the other me. Once she approached me, I spoke. "So you're the other me, the Storm that was suppose to go into the future through the Cryo-Freeze Chamber."
"And you're the Storm that made it to the future and back. I tried talking to Cinra, believing she would open if she saw me. But it didn't work out as well as I'd hoped it would." She replied.
"What did you say to her?" I inquired.
"Trust me, nothing you say is any different from what I said. We're the same person." She argued.
"That's where you're wrong. A lot has happened in that year where you were frozen. It has changed me. So let me ask again, what did you say to her?" I insisted, sounding a lot harsher than I intended.
The other me was taken back by my words. Nevertheless, she responded. "I told her that she can confide in me. That we mean no harm to her. I tried talking about what and who she saw her in memories, and Cinra grew defensive. She insulted me, saying she won't become into what I am."
"So you were good cop." Daisy commented.
"And it looks I've got to be the bad cop." I retorted.
With that, I made my way out of the lab and into the elevator. I'm going to do whatever it takes to find the answers we need. Once I entered her cell, Cinra wore a frustrated look as soon as she saw me. "You again, look I told you I won't become you."
