"They may be close, but I bet twenty credits that he's interested in someone else." Kina commented with a grin.

I did my best to push all my thoughts of Daniel away as I let out a scoff. "I say forty credits that Daisy and Sousa are together."

Kina extended out a hand to shake on it. "You're so on, Storm."

With that, Kina and I shook on it. After our conversation ended, Kina, Teckla, Harrua, Tarom, and Alotren headed back to their rooms, Ahsoka headed towards the control room, while I decided to walk around the Lighthouse. I finally took Jiaying's advice, leaving Jemma's chrono back in my room. It's time to control my powers, I can do it. As I walked down the hallways, I found Daisy walking towards me.

"How are you holding up?" She questioned.

"I'm fine. Just trying to keep myself occupied...we can't let anyone else die." I mentioned.

"And they won't. Remember what Enoch said? Our friends will survive." Daisy reminded me.

I wanted to believe Daisy was right. But I couldn't help but shake off a feeling that it wasn't over just yet. Besides I knew as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., your life was constantly in danger. All of the sudden, they heard a familiar voice. "Hey."

We turned to see Daniel jogging towards us. A smile appeared on my face as soon I saw him. Once he approached us, we greeted him. "Hey."

"Lookin' spry for an old guy." Daisy commented.

"How's it feeling?" I inquired.

"Fantastic. I think I'm a fan of the 21st century." Daniel mentioned.

"Yeah, don't get your hopes. We make a mean prosthetic, but fascism is back." Daisy mentioned.

"You mean the thing I helped wipe out ten years ago?" Daniel asked.

Daisy let out a sigh. "Yeah. The past won't leave us alone."

"Yeah, Mack caught me up. You know, you said her name to me, to me when, uh...Malick was doing a number on you. Jiaying." Daniel commented.

I exchanged a look with Daisy. Daisy hesitated before speaking. "...Hydra did the same thing to her. They cut her up, they took her power in my past and in her future."

"Jiaying can heal herself, she can live for a long time." I clarified.

"Malick thought that's what I could do. He's after the real thing now." Daniel stated.

Daisy furrowed her brows. "Did Mack say anything about what happened with her and I?"

Daniel shook his head, causing Daisy to continue. "Yeah, well, things got really bad, and it...It's a long story. But it came to an end."

I could feel Daisy's pain and sadness radiating off of her. Poor Daisy, I never will understand what she's been through. But I know she spent so many years searching for her mom, and it wasn't what she thought it would be.

"Maybe now's your chance to experience what she was like before that. You should talk to her." Daniel advised.

"No, I shouldn't. She can't know who I am." Daisy protested.

"Why not?" Daniel asked.

"Because of the timeline-" Daisy began.

"The timeline is screwed. Pardon my French. And look who you're talking to, a guy who served under 'I Like Ike' and was suppose to be dead by now." Daniel pointed out.

I raised an eyebrow. "Ike?"

"The point is...you got a rare opportunity here. I got a list of people long gone by now I'd...I'd do anything to have one last stolen moment with." Daniel explained. "Regardless of what space-time has to say about it."
