The next morning, a funeral was held for both Tony and for Alotren. Before the funeral, Morgan, Anakin, Skye, Frigga, Piecor, Pepper, Happy, Rhodey, Thor, Steve, Daniel, and I watched a hologram of Tony that he left behind in one of his Iron Man helmets.
"Everybody wants a happy ending, right? But it doesn't always roll that way. Maybe this time. I'm hoping if you play this back, it's in celebration. I hope families are reunited, I hope we get it back, and something like a normal version of the planet has been restored. If there ever was such a thing. God, what a world. Universe, now." Tony corrected as he sat down in a chair within the hologram. "If you told me ten years ago that we weren't alone, let alone, you know, to this extent, I mean, I wouldn't have been surprised. But come on, you know? That epic forces of darkness and light that have come into play. And, for better or worse, that's the reality Morgan's gonna have to find a way to grow up in. So I found the time and I recorded a little greeting...In the case of an untimely death. On my part. Not that, death in anytime isn't untimely. This time travel thing that we're gonna try and pull off tomorrow, it's, it's got me scratching my head about this. But then again, that's the hero gig. Part of the journey is the end. Everything's gonna work out exactly the way it's supposed to. I love you 3,000."
Tony looked over at us, giving us a smile. Fresh new tears streamed down my cheeks. Daniel slipped a hand in mine, giving it a squeeze, letting me know he was here. Once the hologram of Tony ended, we all went outside to commence the funeral. Nearly everyone from the battle was here. Fury, Maria, Hope's parents Hank and Janet Pym, Veda, Zectre, and Clint's family. Areria and Typho had reunited, and they looked quite happy being reunited once again. Pepper placed a basket of flowers with Tony's arc reactor that said: Proof that Tony Stark has a heart. For Alotren, we decided to give him a Jedi funeral, burning his body until there was nothing but ashes left. As we surrounded what was left of Alotren, Kora approached me with a grim look on her face.
"Storm, I tried to bring back both Alotren and Stark, but I couldn't...It's like they rejected my help." Kora informed me.
"It's all right, Kora. You tried, and I appreciate that." I assured her.
All of the sudden, I heard a voice that surrounded me, sounding much like Alotren. "Everything will be okay, sisalo."
Tears filled my eyes as I heard Alotren. Yes, the pain felt intense right now, but one day I'll be okay. Besides, I know Alotren's with our grandparents, mom, and dad. After the funerals, Thor, Rocket, Obi, Quill, Nebula, Groot, Mantis, Drax, and I got on Rocket's ship, returning to Tønsberg, where Thor and I met with Valkyrie. Thor informed her that he would be leaving the place. Rocket remained outside the ship, while the rest were waiting inside.
"So, when can we expect you back?" Valkyrie questioned.
"About that..." Thor trailed off.
"Thor. Your people need a King." Valkyrie protested.
Thor shook his head. "No, they already have one."
Valkyrie let out a laugh. "That's funny."
She stopped laughing once she saw Thor was being serious. "You're being serious?"
"It's time for me to be who I am rather than who I'm supposed to be. But you, you're a leader. That's who you are." Thor mentioned.
Valkyrie was hesitant. She immediately looked over towards me. "What about you, Storm? You're technically part of the family."
I know she was being kind and trying to be as gentle as possible by not saying Loki's name, but that wasn't the way to go about it. Loki wouldn't want me to act like this...and I know I wouldn't want him to do the same.
