After an hour or so, Deke and I finally found a way in. We looked at each other, relieved and glad to finally found a way in. With that, we left the lab to find Daisy, Ahsoka, and Mack in the hallway.
"Hey. So, I found a fix in this tracker, of course. I analyzed the alien encryption not easy and found a way to hack it. That's just me, guy from future who doesn't belong." Deke explained as he glanced over at Daisy, trying to impress her.
"We both found the way to get in." I corrected.
Deke nodded. "Right, of course. If you look, there's two other dots, and it looks like they're moving towards each other."
"No doubt that these are two Shrikes." I added.
I then showed them the screen with the two targets. At my words, Mack ordered for everyone to meet at the control room. There, he ordered the Zephyr to take off with May, Ahsoka, Alotren, Agent Diaz, and a few other agents to find the two humans with the Shrike inside of them. Once they took off and were in the air, May contacted us through her comms from the Zephyr. "This is Zephyr One we're en route to target. We'll check in when we've caught the birds."
At that moment, we heard Mack's comlink go off. It sounded like Trevor. "We're gonna need a medical team. The big guy's not breathing."
Not too long later, he spoke again. This time he sounded terrified. "Cancel that medical team! I need a rescue team! This guy's breathing now, but he's breathing fire!"
We all looked at each other, rather baffled and shocked. Did we just hear that correctly? Mack grabbed his comlink at once. "Say again?"
"Fire! He's breathing fire!" Trevor exclaimed.
"Stand by, Agent Khan." Mack replied before looking up at us. "Daisy come with me. Storm stay here with the others in case May contacts us."
I nodded. "Got it."
With that Mack and Daisy took off. Now we know why Jaco didn't want our help, he wasn't sick at all. It wasn't long until Mack and Daisy returned with Trevor. It was then when May contacted us through her comms. "HQ, this is Zephyr One. We have collected the Shrike. Both are calm and contained. Setting a course for home."
I sighed in relief. Looks like no more lives will be killed due to those creatures. However, my celebration was quickly cut short as May contacted us. "Control, seems like whatever they're doing, it's a reaction to their close proximity."
"All right, see if you can sedate them, but keep them in a containment module." Mack suggested.
"Copy that." Ahsoka replied through the comms.
Mack then walked towards us as he looked deep in thought. "He knew..."
"What do you mean?" Daisy asked.
"The way Sarge reacted when I told him we had the two Shrike. He knew something was gonna happen." Mack clarified.
"We gotta get him in here, don't we?" Daisy inquired.
Mack didn't have to say anything, his look said it all. Daisy and I wasted no time in ordering a few agents to bring him here. Once Sarge arrived with two agents behind them, he wasted no time in making a comment. "Just a guess those Shrike you were so proud you bagged, did they get a little spooky on you?"
"My agents are in trouble." Mack informed him.
"So that's a yes. Get used to trouble. More's on the way." Sarge warned.
"What are they getting ready to do?" I inquired.
"Kill everyone on that aircraft." Sarge replied.
