"Kora, get away from him!" Jiaying exclaimed.

"Jiaying, right? You've put Kora through enough." Nathaniel retorted.

"Kora, what are you doing?" Jiaying inquired.

"I've been holding it in for so long. Trying to be what you wanted, to be something I'm not." Kora explained.

Jiaying slowly walked towards Kora. "I only wanted what was best for you, to help you."

"You turned on me. Like, since that day, there's only fear in your eyes. You don't see anything but a threat. Admit it." Kora shot back.

"No. I love you. I've always loved you no matter what-" Jiaying assured her.

"You were gonna let him put a knife through my heart!" Kora snapped, cutting off Jiaying."

I was taken back by her words. Jiaying shook her head. "Never! Sweetheart. Sweetheart, remember when I would read you stories till you fell asleep? What would I always say at the beginning?"

"I'm not a child anymore." Kora retorted.

"I'd say: Some stories have witches and dragons and bad men, and I will always protect you from all of it." Jiaying reminded her.

I noticed tears forming in Kora's eyes. "You didn't protect me. You protected the world from me."

Kora turned towards Nathaniel, who gave her a firm nod. Kora whipped back around to face us, tears threatening to fall from her eyes. "Nathaniel's right. This is a prison, and I finally found my way out."

We watched as her brown eyes turned into a glowing white color. I grimaced. That wasn't good. A sinister grin appeared on Nathaniel's face. "Attagirl."

Li walked towards Kora. "I'm sorry. She's beyond-"

"Li, no, stop!" Jiaying shouted..

Jiaying tried to stop Li, but Li shrugged out of her grasp. Kora's hand began to glow a light orange color. As soon as she touched, Li was thrown back towards us. Li let out a groan of agony as he tried touching his face that was now charred. Kora looked down at her hands in fear, while Nathaniel merely chuckled. Now I realized why Jiaying was afraid when she saw my powers, it reminded me much of Kora.

"Kora, you should really stay away from him. You don't know what he's capable of." I warned.

Nathaniel's eyes then met mine. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Storm Odinson."

I clenched my fists. If I didn't have the chrono around my wrist, I'm sure my hands would be covered in blue energy. And little did I know that eyes were glowing red, which frightened Nathaniel a little.

"And if it Nathaniel Malick, I should've stayed behind to make sure you were dead." I mentioned.

May immediately placed a hand around my wrist, stopping me. I turned around to face May, and she gave me a look that made me think twice. Don't let your anger get the better of you, Storm. As my anger diminished, my eyes turned back to its original silver color.

"Kora, please stop!" Jiaying begged.

Kora looked back at us. And I could sense her rage before she walked towards us. Oh Force, this isn't good. At this point, there is no reasoning with Kora. We have to get out of here now.

"Come on!" May urged.

We all rushed towards Gordon, grabbing each other's arm. Elena glanced over at Gordon. "Get us out of here! Now!"

At once Gordon teleported us out of the Afterlife and right next to our Quinjet. Once we were all inside, I spoke up. "You can come with us."

"But I can't guarantee that it'll be any safer." May informed them.
