"Come on, Storm. Wake up." Tony's voice reached my ears.
I groaned as my eyes fluttered open. I looked up to see Tony and Steve standing around me, looking worried. I glanced around to see the facility completely destroyed. We were surrounded by rubble, some of it engulfed in flames. I let out a groan as I moved around.
"That's my sister." Tony said as he handed me the lightsaber he made for me. "You lose that again, I'm keeping it."
"What happened?" I asked as I took the lightsaber.
"We messed with time. It tends to mess back. You'll see." Tony informed me.
Tony and Steve then helped me up. We walked past the huge rubble and debris to find Thor standing out in the open, staring at something. I followed his gaze to see Thanos sitting not far from us, wearing armor. Next to him stood his giant double edged sword with his helmet lying on the top of his weapon.
"What's he been doing?" I questioned.
"Absolutely nothing." Thor mentioned.
"Where are the stones?" Steve inquired.
"Lost somewhere under all this. All I know is he doesn't have them." Tony explained.
"So we keep it that way." Steve advised.
"You know it's a trap, right?" Thor asked.
"Yeah...I don't much care." Tony admitted.
"Good. Just as long as we're all in agreement." Thor replied.
At that moment, Thor's eyes began to glow, emitting a blue light. A storm then surrounded Thor in a matter of seconds. Lightning emerged from the sky, hitting Thor. He then extended out his hands, and his axe, Stormbreaker landed into his right hand, while his hammer made its way towards his left hand. No doubt when he went back in time, he grabbed the hammer.
"Let's kill him properly this time." Thor suggested.
With that, we made our way towards Thanos, who remained sitting. A wicked grin appeared on his face. "You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me. I thought by eliminating half of life, the other half would thrive. But you've shown me, that's impossible. And as long as there are those that remember what was, there will always be those thatare unable to accept what can be. They will resist."
"Yep. We're all kinds of stubborn." Tony confirmed.
I nodded. "Oh you have no idea."
"I'm thankful. Because now, I know what I must do." Thanos confessed as he stood up, putting his helmet on and grabbing his sword. "I will shred this universe down to its last atom. And then...With the stones you've collected for me, create a new one. Teeming with life, but knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given. A grateful universe."
"Born out of blood." Steve corrected.
"They'll never know it. Because you won't be alive to tell them." Thanos shot back.
My blood boiled at his words. He's not going to get rid of us that easily. My eyes began to glow icy blue as I ignited my lightsaber, revealing the bronze blade. Thor, Tony, Steve, and I then rushed towards Thanos. Steve threw his shield, but Thanos blocked it with his sword before throwing Steve back. Thanos then dodged Thor's and Tony's attacks, before whipping around to face me. Our blades clashed at once. He pushed towards me with all his strength, causing me to struggle. Fortunately, Thor intervened, lunging towards us with his axe raised in the air. Thanos then kicked Thor back onto the ground. As we continued fighting Thanos, Tony took out a power amplifier that was on his back. Through our comms, Tony contacted Thor and me. "All right, Storm, Thor. Hit me."
