Once we were all back in the control room, Sousa, Phil, May, Daisy, and I informed Mack, Elena, and the others what we learned back in the bar. They were baffled to find out what Hydra was up to with the help of the Chronicoms.
"So Hydra's attempting Insight in 1973." Mack mentioned.
"With no helicarriers." Elena pointed out.
"According to Malick, S.H.I.E.L.D. has a system of satellites and lasers, which as I say it, sounds really cool, but it's definitely not cool." Phil commented.
"And that explains the launch pad at the Lighthouse." Kina chimed in. "Must be where they're planning to send up that satellite."
"Any idea who the targets are?" Gida inquired.
"Well, we found a dossier of mostly S.H.I.E.L.D. assets." Daisy informed them.
"Bruce Banner, Nick Fury, Victoria Hand." I said, listing some names from the file.
"Peggy Carter." Sousa added.
"Picking us off, one by one." May stated.
"Not yet." Tarom corrected.
"If we move now, we can disable Insight before it's launch capable." Ahsoka suggested.
"Guys, I think something's wrong." Sousa mentioned, however no one listened.
"Ahsoka's right. We can stop this now." Mack chimed in. "They're know we're coming, so we have to assume the Lighthouse is fortified with a battalion-"
"Guys!" Sousa exclaimed, earning all of our attention. "Is it suppose to do that?"
We followed Sousa's gaze towards the computer screens to see the time malfunctioning. My stomach dropped. What was happening to the screens? Phil looked over at Jemma. "Simmons, what's happening?"
Jemma quickly rushed over towards the screens, trying to intervene. "We're about to jump."
"Tell me you can override it." Mack said.
"I'm trying, but something's messed with the algorithm." Jemma informed us as she pressed some keys on the keyboard.
"How is that possible?" Zira questioned.
I exchanged a look with Jemma, and we both knew who was behind this. "The Chronicoms..."
"No doubt they changed plans." I stated.
"So they're jumping early..." Neda said.
"To when?! Where are we going?" Sousa asked.
"I don't know! I can't control it!" Jemma exclaimed.
"This is our only chance to stop Insight." Teckla argued.
"So we can't be on this ship." Neda mentioned.
With that, Elena rushed out towards the hangar bay in an attempt to stop the ship from jumping into the future.
"But without the Zephyr, we'd be stranded in 1973." I protested.
At that moment, we made the jump into the future.
~July 4th, 1976~
As soon as we discovered how far the Zephyr had jumped, it wasn't long until we found out that today is the day that the Lighthouse is launching Project Insight. That means we have time, not a lot, but it's a chance. We all met up in the lab, where Jemma, Enoch, Deke, Neda, and Sousa were, to discuss a plan.
"Listen up! It's launch day for Project Insight. Hey, it's better than the day after. We move fast, we stop that satellite." Mack commanded.
Daisy furrowed her brows. "How? The base is fortified by now."
