I turned up the tv hearing the devastating news going on in our area . Trump issued ICE raids that were currently being executed as we speak . My heart goes out to all the families being effected by this . Especially since my dad was once deported . I was just glad me & Kade were born in the states & my mom was legal .

" That's crazy " Liza said watching in shock .

" I know right . Those poor people " I said softly . I decided to change the channel not wanting to watch parents being ripped from their children's grasps . Our president was a monster . It disgusted me .

" Anyways , are you coming with me today ? " Liza asked .

" Where ? "

" To go talk to East with the group " She reminded me .

" Uhhh probably not " I started , " If you couldn't tell , we don't really get along all that well so I doubt he would want me there anyway "

Liza smacked his lips " He'll take all the support he can get though . Just tag along "

" I don't even know him like that . What is this little intervention for ? " I asked confused .

" You really have no clue what any of this is about ? "

" No Liza , you know I stay in my lane . I don't know about nobody " I responded .

" Basically East's brother is the biggest kingpin around here aaaaand he's dragging East down with him " She briefly explained .

" Dragging him down ? What do you mean by that ? " I further inquired .

" His brother basically gets him to do little jobs and tasks for him . And we think Melo's trying to turn them into their fathers "

I placed my hand on my forehead in so much confusion " Yes yes it's a lot to the story but basically we just need to convince East to stay away from Melo before he gets killed "

Maybe this is why East confronted those two guys at the court . That's who Melo is . A light bulb went off in my head but i was still confused yet almost intrigued . But I still don't think it's my place to be there .

" I don't know Liza , this sounds very personal . I should just stay home " I doubted .

" First of all , Camilla and Jess are gonna be there and I know damn well you not boutta leave me alone with those bitches " She laughed .

I groaned in frustration " You don't even have to say anything , just come with me " She reasoned .

I smacked my lips & got into the backseat knowing these niggas were up to something . I hadn't talked to Melo since he busted my lip & I split his eyebrow . He kept tryna call me & text me but I wasn't answering . It was really fuck him .

" Maaaaaaaaaan what the fuck is this ? " I said stopping at the entrance seeing Jess & Camilla sitting at a booth inside Wendy's .

" Bro you already here you might as well come on " Before I had a chance to protest Malik pushed me forward & Kaine dragged me by my wrist .
