Lila's a lying little brat, but what if her manipulative tactics backfire on her when trying to get closer to Adrien? Gabriel Agreste, finding truth in the sly girl's words, believes maybe Adrien really is b...
Adrien opened his bedroom door, smiling brightly, and awaited a hug from his favorite pigtailed friend. However, Marinette did not hug him. Instead, she ran straight passed him, throwing her school bag to the floor, before flopped herself, face first, onto Adrien's bed.
"Marinette tired," she mumbled softly, though it was hard to hear as her face was buried into the pillow that smelled of cologne and an odd hint of cheese. "Need sleep."
Adrien's enthusiastic smile fell as he followed her, sitting beside her on the bed, as he gave an exaggerated pout because she'd failed to greet him. He tilted his head as she looked up at him with wearily teary eyes.
"No hug?" he asked her.
Marinette laughed before slowly sitting up. "Yes, you can have a hug." She pulled Adrien close and he returned the embrace. "I held you nearly all day. Don't you ever get enough?"
Adrien thought about it for a second before shaking his head, smiling into her neck. "Nope." Then he quickly released Marinette, drawing back a bit. "Does it bother you?"
"Of course not, chéri," she rubbed his head. "I love hugging you."
Adrien smiled joyfully. "I love hugging you too, mon chou!"
Marinette laid back on her stomach, nuzzling her face into the pillow and slowly closing her eyes. Adrien smiled softly. She's cute when she's sleepy. Adrien shrugged, and began affectionately tracing circles on the small of her back.
Marinette popped one eye open, grinning. "What are you doing?"
Adrien smiled down at her. "Well, you always rub me, and hold me, and show me all this love and affection. Shouldn't I do the same for you?"
"Yeah, I guess." Marinette yawned, repositioning herself so that her head rested in his lap. "But you don't have to."

Adrien's face flushed as Marinette's cheek met his thigh. He quickly became comfortable with the placement and smiled at her with adoration before stroking her head as she usually would for him.
"Of course I will, Mari!" Adrien chuckled, scooping her up to where her head rested on his chest. "You're my best friend."
Marinette subconsciously snuggled into her new impromptu pillow. "I... love you so much, Adrien."
The blond boy blushed deeply as the pigtailed girl huddled so close and let those words escape her lips. She'd said them before, but he supposed it started meaning a little more. However, how much more, he was unsure.
"I-I love you, too..." he returned, holding her closely, before snapping out of it. "Come on, chou. Let's have dinner. It'll wake you up a bit."
"No..." Marinette whined into his chest. "I want to sleep! I give you cuddles..."
