Adrien took out his phone, dialing Sabine. He swallowed harshly as the mobile device trembled in his hands.

"Hello, sweetie! How's Pau?"

Tears filled Adrien's eyes as he came to realize had this not all happened, he could still be with Marinette, well and alive, dancing in Pau. He let out a sob, startling the Chinese woman on the other line.

"Oh, Adrien, what's wrong?"

The blond took a deep breath. "Is Tom there too?"

"Hold on. Tom! It's Adrien. He seems upset," Sabine called to her husband, then spoke to the phone. "He's here. What's the matter?"

"You guys see the news about the wraith?"

"Oh, yes." Sabine shook her head. "The poor dear."

Tom chuckled. "Don't worry. I'm sure that Cat Noir will save his lady."

Adrien looked to Marinette on the ground. She didn't look so 'saved' to him. She looked fully human again, and all the blood was gone, but she was pale and lifeless.

Adrien sobbed again to which Chloé took his hand her own. He squeezed tightly for comfort as he willed himself to speak again.

"Guys... My lady... is Marinette," he bit back sobs. "I'm back in Paris. Meet me at the hospital, okay? She's cured but she's not waking up."

Sabine choked over tears. "W-What?"

"Oh my God..." Tom whispered in shock.

"The ambulance is here!" Alya announced.

"I'll explain everything when I see you there, okay?" Adrien told them. "The ambulance just pulled in."

"O-Okay..." Sabine said and hung up the phone.

She stared wide-eyed at her husband whom held a mirrored expression. The woman let out a sob as Tom held her.

"Th-The kids were superheroes, and...and we had no idea."

Tom sighed, patting her back. "Come on. Let's go to the hospital."

"Her heart's giving out."

That was the first thing Adrien heard as he ended the call with Marinette's parents. His eyes widened and he ran over to the paramedics now sending shock waves to Marinette through her chest.

"Stay back, kid!"

Adrien whimpered as Nino grabbed him and held him tightly to prevent him from rushing to Marinette. "Calm down, buddy. It's going to be okay."

"We got her!" exclaimed a paramedic, causing everyone to calm down. "We got her."

The paramedics placed Marinette on a stretcher and into the back of the ambulance.

One paramedic walked over to the adults. "What exactly happened to her? Her body seems completely fine from what we can tell without further examination. But her heart rate and breathing are irregular."

"It's damage by akuma," Gabriel answered.

The paramedic looked back to the young lady being placed in the ambulance. "So, you're saying this girl is..."

"Yes," Gabriel sighed, "she's Ladybug. So, please, be discreet."

"Alright," the paramedic returned, "but I'm not sure how helpful we can be if an akuma did this to her."

"Anything, please!" Nathalie pleaded. "Her parents will meet you all at the hospital soon."

The paramedic nodded and joined the rest.
