S2 E19: The Black Blood Wraith

Marinette's wails of pain rang through the hotel, drawing many people's attention. However, neither of the kids paid the others any mind.

"Fight it, Marinette!" Adrien urged her. "Fight it, please!"

Marinette shook her head as she clawed at her chest, ripping tears into her dress, piercing the skin as blackened blood poured out.

"M-Marinette?"

"The miraculous, kid!" Plagg told him. "Grab the miraculous! Quickly!"

Adrien nodded and tore her earrings away, causing more blood to seep, as well as Kaalki's glasses.

"Everyone, run!" Adrien shouted. "You're not safe here!"

Everybody scattered like the helpless souls on Titanic. Once no one was in sight, he put on the earrings and the glasses, prompting all Kwamis to come out of hiding.

Plagg gasped. "Kid, what are you doing?"

"It's simply not safe to use so many miraculous!" said Kaalki.

"It can drive you to insanity!" Tikki added.

"More insane than Marinette at the moment?" Adrien felt slightly dizzy, but immediately shook it off. "I don't have a choice. I need Tikki to de-evilize her and I need Kaalki to get us to Paris. Master Fu should know how to help her. Plagg, I'll have to renounce you for now, okay? I shouldn't wear the ring if I don't need your powers. It'll make me weak."

The kwamis nodded.

"Tikki, spots on!"

"Tikki, Kaalki, unify!"

The red on Mister Bug's suit became a light brown with white blotches as Kaalki was consumed by her glasses.

"I'll see you soon, Plagg."

The black kwami nodded as his chosen removed his ring and he was sucked into it. For now, the ring was stored in the yo-yo.

Before a portal could be opened, Hawk Moth and Mayura came running in. Adrien set his view on them, dangerously narrowing his eyes.

"You did this to her!"

The adults didn't even acknowledge him as they were focused on Marinette tearing her skin like paper, screaming horrifyingly.

Mayura burst into tears at the sight. "Oh, Mari, no..."

Hawk Moth then noticed the boy a few feet away of them. "Cat Noir? No. Mister Bug? Um, Horse Bug?"

Adrien blinked. "Sure, we'll go with that." Then, he got in a battle stance. "You're going to remove the akuma right now, and then, you're going to pay for hurting my lady!"

"I would if I could," Gabriel sighed. "But I can't. I lost connection with the akuma. It's a part of her body now, intertwined with her soul. But, we have to get it out, or it will kill her!"

Horse Bug's eyes widened. "What?!"

"Listen, please!" Mayura pleaded, interlocking her fingers in imploration. "He never meant to hurt the girl. Marinette is precious to us. We can't lose her. You have to help us save her. Please! P-Please!"

"How do I know you're not lying?"

"Does it matter? Marinette is dying!" Hawk Moth yelled, startling the boy. The man sighed. "After you help us save her, our miraculous are yours, okay? Just help us, please!"
